    A center during his 16-year playing career, Lister played in 953 games after being selected in the first round by Milwaukee in 1981. The 7-footer averaged a career-high 11.6 points in 1987.

    Lister has served as coach at Mesa Community College in Arizona for the last seven years.

    Atlanta begins training camp October 1. </div>
