I don't see the relevance of any of this. Unless Donaghy implicates another referee that bet on games in which they officiated or provided inside information to other people for the purpose of gambling I do not see why the federal government would give a damn about this information. The referee collective bargaining agreement has nothing to do with the federal government. The Feds could care less about what rules referees break in their own organization, just as long as they do not break the law.
I support Donaghy fullheartedly. If it'd save me a year in the pen, I'd throw my own mother to the dogs!

I think it would be pretty tough to prove unless he's got copies of the grids with their signatures on them. But then he's got to prove they paid, yeah, tough one. The only way I can see this being relevant to the feds is if they can uncover illegal activity.
