Well, it'll be worth it when he doesn't get as exhausted as LeBron/Brand/etc. did last year after playing in the World Championships.

just watched the highlights on nba.com of usa vs vnezuala. Kobe is alot quicker than before, his pump fake and spin in the middle of the lane looks like an iverson move, he's going to be really good this season.[IMG] also one of his dunks he flared his legs when he grabbed the rim, kind of like the way dwight and shaq do it, never seen kobe do that so he's obviously had a productive summer by changing up his game a bit, even if it is a little bit. kobe had 5 assists aswell which is pretty promising.

I watched the game and not only is it the same shooting and driving Kobe we know, but he is now quicker and he played tremendous on the ball pressure D, really great D. I guess he literally does everything for us now lol (more so than he already was is what I meant)

^Yup. Kobe pressered his opponent pretty good. The opposing guard would either lose handles or would pass it quick. Kobe played pretty good defense throughout the game.

I pretty much watched the whole game. Kobe was the best player of the game. He did it all, score (showing us some new moves), pass good (leading the team with 5 ast.), didn't take any bad shots or force anything (62% FG), and last but not least his defense. He was constantly pressuring and giving Vasquez no space to shoot every time he was in the game. He is also a lot faster now, he had no trouble guarding the point guard. Overall Kobe had an all around game. And I'm happy with the game yesterday. Heres Kobe's stats:
    PTS - 14
    REB - 5
    AST - 5
    BLK - 1
    STL - 3
    TO - 3
    FG - 5/8
    3FG - 2/2
    FT - 2/2

I saw the game last night and I was very impressed with Kobe Bryant.

He looks like he is in amazing condition! For the record, he does not look small or skinny AT ALL. He is more cut and more sleek and seems to be a whole lot quicker. Especially his lateral movement on defense (something which held him back last year) was very fast in both directions allowing him to pester the opposing guard the whole way up the court and play some stingy help defense. He and Jason Kidd were by far the best defensive players on the court and surprisingly Kobe also seemed to be the best passer. His first step seems a bit quicker to me as well...

Kobe looked in great shape not skinny in the game. He looked like an action figure. I was impressed by the defense like the announcers said Kobe's defense looked empanitrable..

They were talking about a lot throughout the game. Kobe's become a health nut and has worked pilates training into his workouts.

He did lose some mass, but he's in fantastic shape and conditioning. He's got some of his explosiveness back and it showed especially on the defensive end.

Slimming down and building leaner, flexible muscle is better for him at this point in his career. Being bulky is harder on the joints and at his age, it would take longer to recover if he suffered an injury.

He was the best player on the court last night and did it all for Team USA.

The one reverse layup he did in the post was phenomenal. Outstanding body control and creativity to get the shot off.

I was also really impressed with Carmelo Anthony. He's become unstoppable to defend one on one. He's added two new moves to his game, and continues to extend his range. Carmelo used to favor going to his right and attacking from the baseline and finishing on the weakside. Now he has a counter spin move to cut through the middle. He's also developed an explosive left handed dribble from the free throw line elbow that pins the defender on his right hip, while Carmelo bulls his way to the rim.
