He can play either position hes a combo guard i believe he played SG when Ellis played PG. Iggy and Joe Johnson are not combo guards. Iggy is a swingman and could possibly be considered as a point forward and same with Joe Johnson.

His offensive rating is also the highest at PG. http://www.82games.com/0607/06ATL6C.HTM ~ Baron Davis plays every minute at PG. http://www.82games.com/0607/06GSW1C.HTM ~ Ellis plays most of his minutes at SG, and then some at PG. If Yao and Shaq were on the same team and played together would that make one of them not a legit center then?

What is the name of this thread? Top ten combo guards in the NBA today. I also never said Baron didn't have the prowess to play the 2, but just merely pointing out his current status in the league. <div class="quote_poster">tmacyaokobe01 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">try checking out his other seasons. hes played shooting guard before. http://www.82games.com/03NOH2C.HTM Baron Davis is considered a mixture between pass-first and shoot-first just like Chauncey Billups and Tony Parker.</div> Baron Davis has been spending all his minutes at the one the last couple of years, so the notion that he isn't a legitimate PG is rather ignorant; he's an all-purpose PG with various abilities. Why don't you get caught up with the times? The most relevant stats are the latest. I suppose one might say he still has the ability to be a combo guard, but he is a legit 1 now.

He was the main playmaker when Andre Miller went on the bench i believe not really a point guard i don't think. http://www.82games.com/0607/06PHI6C.HTM he only played 2 games not really considered a legit combo guard. Because even Michael Redd played some Point guard. http://www.82games.com/0607/06MIL7C.HTM

Devin Harris</div> jason Terry by far... he's the only guy that looks like a point guard when he's playing point guard and looks like a 2 when he's playing 2. The rest of em look at least a little bit out of place when switching to their less comfy position
Regardless of however the minutes may break down in Don Nelson's offense (which is vague with it's positions to begin with), Baron Davis is a point guard. He was drafted as a point guard, he's one of the NBA's best at that position, and he was at times last year the only player the Warriors had who could consistantly run their offense and make it resemble something cohesive. When Monta Ellis would enter the game, he would occasionally handle the ball for stretches of time to give Davis a rest, but at no point with Davis o the court would anybody say, "Hey, that point guard Ellis better set up the shooting guard Baron Davis for a shot." As for combo guards today, I'd say Iverson is the tops. If you consider Wade was a very good point guard his rookie year, you could make that case, but he's developed into a prototype off-guard by now. Monta Ellis is good, but he gets injured a fair amount, and he's frighteningly thin.
