According to the Boston Globe Deion Branch has been dealt to Seattle for a 1st round pick. http://rds.yahoo.com/S=53720272/K=seattle/...ory/9652942/rss
New England just robbed Seattle - a first round draft pick for Branch? He's not that good of a receiver.
I hope he does well there, but obviously I have to root for his new team to lose though that will probably be futile. I already predicted the Hawks to go 14-2, so this can only help their chances this season. I think the streak of SB losers not making the playoffs the following season ends this year. Even a late 1st round pick is good value for WR that's let's be honest is not a top 10 talent.
At least they scored 9. If they're deesperate what are we? I'm now willing to be happy if Koren Robinson finds a way to play for us this season
The Hawks offense hardly ever got going, Hasselbeck had a couple of good drives but that was it. Worst of all (or best of all depending on your standpoint) was seeing Alexander struggle without guard steve hutchinson. It was capped off by seeing S.A fumble TWICE! i haven't ever seen him fumble once (although i don't watch them too often). I couldn't help thinking of the much daunted MADDEN CURSE!! If it strikes S.A this season, added with the curse of SB losers the Hawks look to be in trouble, especially if you look at the performance against a poor lions outfit (lets face it, the lions are bad).

Everyone fails to realize that Tom Brady was throwing the ball to him. QBs like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning make receivers look good because they hit them on the numbers instead of making them dive, jump, flip, and fly to catch the ball. The guy is fragile and not worthy of a 1st round pick. However, as a Pats fan I couldn't be happier.
I used to go for the Seahawks until I heard this news. I hope they pull an "Eagles" so that we can get a top 10 or 15 pick in the 1st round next year, lol.
I don't think it's a bad deal for the Seahawks, really. If they make the playoffs or the Superbowl, the "first rounder" they give up will be in the 29 - 32 range...and they're getting a known commodity. They've seen the guy play in the NFL and they know he can do it. I think it's better to spend a first rounder on a guy like Branch than to draft an unknown commodity like Charles Rogers or Mike Williams. Ask the Lions...
I think it's a good deal for both teams. However in a diffferent context obviously it helps the Hawks now, but in the long run I think the Pats will benefit more if they hit on the selection. I'm not going to trash Branch. I think he's a classy guy & he gave 100% on the field. I just have to cheer for whomever he plays this season so we can increase our chances of getting a solid 1st round prospect next year.
Best wishes to Branch. I kinda wish he didn't leave the Pats because him and Brady were pretty much always on the same page...but the holdout was stupid.
he isnt going to play this week, they decided not to activate him at all. i guess its a smart move hes gotta learn the plays
Hope he isn't the Branch I saw at the SB....Niners probably should have made a run at him,IMO.I still don't think AB81 is desering of the Number 1 Reciever Spot.He is also a headchase.
