And my avatar and sig are supposed to be a joke, it isn't something to be taken seriously. Uh no it isn't obvious. Nash has an inferior Offensive efficiency rating btw. Duncan has a case though. NYC, this isn't a "who do I start a franchise with" thread, it is who is the best player today. Why do you pull these 9/5 out of 10 stats out of your ass like that? Weren't you the guy talking about how you'd hire X player to be a model for you or something? Then Chutney deleted those comments. Yeah I wouldn't be talking. Didn't you plead with people to grow up and not act homophobic? Don't be a complete hypocritical douche then. I'm a Kobe fan, just because I have a favorite player doesn't mean I'm in love with him. If he wasn't in the league (I don't find many other players exciting), i'd just watch the NFL until someone not annoying came along that had skill. Hey you're not a Kobe fan, that's great but to say unanimous is definitely ignorant Run. Especially considering that various stats take Nash out of the running imo. In conclusion, I just didn't feel like ranking 2-10.</div> The knock on Nash about how he doesn't play defense, at the end of the day who gives a crap? If you win 60 games as the leader of your team, why does it matter that you aren't a top defender, if you SCORE more points than you give up, that translates to W's..., so who cares? If you score 20 points and 10 assists, but give up 10 points, that is better than scoring 15 points and 7 assists and giving up 0 points... I realize that defense is more important in the postseason, but I don't think a player should be excluded from the best player conversation just because they aren't a top 10 defensive player. for an offensive leader to put energy on defense at the end of the day that is going to take away from what he gives on offense, so if you're the offensive leader of your team maybe you SHOULDN't bust your ass on D, cause your team needs you focused on your offense. P.s. Huevon, arguments about basketball, debating, etc. for me is fun... F.U.N. don't forget to have fun all you debaters out there! It's just a game.

Thanks for putting Carmelo up there and not T-Mac. After last years playoffs, BEING A ROCKETS FAN, i just dont think T-mac is the same player people used to rank top 5 and stuff.

Well, there's one group of players who are, in my mind, unquestionably the best in the NBA. That group consists of: Tim Duncan Kobe Bryant Lebron James Dwayne Wade Steve Nash The next five would be something like: Dirk Nowitzki Kevin Garnett Carmelo Anthony Gilbert Arenas Jason Kidd You could make a case for T-Mac or Yao, too.
