<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> August 28, 2007 -- Queens-born Houston Rockets guard Rafer Alston - a streetball legend known on playgrounds as "Skip 2 My Lou" - was arrested early yesterday on charges he slashed a man in a Manhattan nightclub. It's his second assault rap in three weeks. Alston, 31, suffered his latest legal setback at Club Stereo on West 29th Street at 3 a.m. The trouble began when a member of Alston's entourage got into an argument with a 41-year-old man. The fight escalated into a brawl, and at one point Alston slashed the man, sources said. Alston - who had starring roles with the North American street basketball tour, the And 1 Mix Tape Tour, and the ESPN show "Street Ball" - is already in hot water in Houston. He was arrested Aug. 5 for allegedly shaking a parking attendant and spitting in his face during a drunken rage after his car was towed. </div> Source: NY Post

You want a guy like that in your locker room?</div> Don't think he has much trade value after these incidents. Damn, houston should have gotten rid of him a month ago. He's likely to get jail time for certain if he stabbed someone. Looks like the Rockets might have solved some of their playing time problems at PG now at least, maybe not the way they imagined though.
I seriously don't think he did anything. Personally I think it's a guy after money. It's more believable than Rafer slashing a guy with a knife.

Tell me how Russia was in the OT forum..lol He is dumb though, why would you do something like that.

News flash.....Rafer Alston has just suggested that the rockets change their starting lineup music to the following http://youtube.com/watch?v=Kv67FU0-jbk
If tmac displayed the killer instinct that Rafer has we'd be on our 3rd title by now.........take lessons tracy....take lessons. okay I'm gonna cut it out now.........oops.......I keep re-opening the womb....oops again....... EDIT now we introduce Rafers entourage....... a.k.a..........his posse AND Okay I'm done now........
Well, good thing you still have Mike James, Steve Francis, John Lucas, and Aaron Brooks for insurance.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said the team learned of Alston's arrest Tuesday morning. "Obviously, it is troubling that Rafer was again in a situation involving the police," Morey said in a statement. "We take these matters very seriously -- the Rockets expect all employees to represent the organization in a first-class manner. Until more facts are gathered from all parties, it would be inappropriate for me to comment further."</div> Source: Yahoo Sports
Man this sucks. It doesn't do much to our lineup since we have a PG logjam. But I was hoping the logjam would open some doors for possible trades. As mentioned early, Skip's trade value will plummet. And to think there were rumours of Haslem for Alston? That's a joke.
<div class="quote_poster">igotask8board Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Damn, I hope we can keep Rafer around for insurance.</div> That is, if he stays out of jail. And tmacyaokobe guaranteed a breakout season for Alston. Out of jail perhaps lol. Damn it, just waive the guy already. No one would trade a bag of beans for him now anyways.
He shouldn't be on the team anymore. That's ridiculous. I don't want that type of player on our team. I don't know how I could support a player who already sucks and then takes a knife to a guy's throat. (Please, no Vernon references if you're gonna argue with me -- he was great)

If Alston can break out of Jail, then have a breakout season, I'll write a 5 page report on why T-Mac isn't a Point-Forward
@ some of you guys. You guys are wylin' with the jokes. Terrible that he keeps getting into this much trouble - but there's no where else for him to go unless he's part of a trade pacakge
