As the Washington Post reported, about 4,000 or so fans were "sprinkled" around the stands at Thomas & Mack Center. That got Jason Kidd to make comparisons with the Continental Airlines Arena. "I called it the New Jersey crowd. There was hardly anybody in the stands," said Kidd, who as the Post noted "has grown accustomed to sparse crowds."</div> Source
It is quite, not a harsh environment what so over. The Raptor crowd, I could see becoming one of the best crowds in the league because of our passion.

The reason they lack so much fan support is because the stadium is horrible, not to mention the location in Jersey. If they built a new stadium the fans would show up.
This is kind of off topic, but the Nets will be renamed the Brooklyn Nets wont they once they move? Or will they remain New Jersey, just move their base operations over to Brooklyn? From what I understand NJ is close by anyway isnt it?

There's no way in hell New Yorkers would let a team be called New Jersey anything and play in New York.
Hey, if the New York Giants can play in New Jersey, than the New Jersey Nets can play in New York. Don't rule anything out.

I just never thought the City of NY was that big, and if its like 10 minutes down the road, then I dont really see the point in another team there.

Usually it takes me 40-80 mins to get there, depending on the days and times I'm travelling there by train.
