<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (vikingfan)</div><div class='quotemain'><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheBeef)</div><div class='quotemain'>Another 3rd down stick throw by Brad Johnson, this one erased by an illegal formation....that guy is a pro QB....hes a great example of a profesional QB understanding what they are trying to do and playing within his abilities....</div>
Johnson is a great example of a QB who gets better with age - he is doing a great job of managing this game.</div>
Yep and it's a real shame Favre can't adjust his play to managing the game better. Johnson has me convince he's the best QB in the divsion. Maybe not the most talented but right now in time, he does it the best.

This is a fantastic game...Vikings need to burn more time, but regardless of the outcome it s a really good game.

Nice game for the Vikings. Looks like they are going to win this game. Washington is a good team though despite what people think and winning on the road is huge for the Vikings. Let's see what Washington can do in this final 60 seconds.

Brilliant game by Brad Johnson...you can't say enough for what his experience brings to the game. I think you might be right, Porky, in saying he is the best QB in that division right now. If Troy Williamson could have brought in the balls he dropped, this could have been a big breakout game for him. He still impressed me though. I also think Chester Taylor answered any questions about him being a #1 back.

Wow.. i am freaking pumped up after that game. First I love the O line.. It took awhile to break in but in the 4th i couldn't of asked for anything more. Chester Taylor picked up some hard earned yards and im pretty excited about our running game. Second.. the vikings D line to me is one of the best in the NFL. If you noticed the vikings d line did a damn good job stopping the runs up the middle. I think the vikings do have a weakness in our linebackers and getting to the outside.. I do think Chad Greenway would of helped big time. As for who is the best QB in the Nfc North.. I would have to go with Brad Johnson.. Favre.. hes only as good as his team is. Rex.. wow give me a break one good game against the packers.. proove something to me. Jon Kitna.. lol. I do like the vikings team this year. One thing i really liked was Brad Chilldres. He didn't start our starting safety due to the incident. That shows he does not want any of that bullshit. I am really impressed.. Great Game

You hate to win a game because the opposing team's kicker can't make a field goal. That being said, there are definitely some positives from this game:

<ul>[li]Chester Taylor looked really good. He got some tough yardage in there and looks to be a good bruiser back[/li][li]The left side of the line is starting to come together. Towards the end of the game they wore down a really good defensive line[/li][li]If Williamson puts some sticky glue on his hands, he could have a phenomenal season[/li][li]I hope Brad Johnson stays upright all season. He was an athlete with an offensive coordinator's mind. [/li][li]The defense, although exposed in some areas, played better than last years defense.[/li]
In the interest of being unbiased, there were definitely some glaring spots that could use some work:

<ul>[li]We need to learn how to defend the screen and the swing pass. Up the middle we are strong, but run it to the outside and we look terrible.[/li][li]Our front four did nothing in terms of QB pressure. This needs to change[/li][li]Sloppy game as far as penalties are concerned.[/li]
Finally, Washington's offense looked pretty good. Randel El was impressive as was Portis. The problem they are going to have is that they have few weapons, so once defenses account for their few weapons, they should be an easy offense to stop.

Good win for the Vikes.I expect them to compete in the worst division in the NFL,except maybe the NFC West still undecided....with the Bear for the Division Winner!

I'm very glad to see Chester do well for selfish reasons. [IMG]
