    <u>Durant As Captain?</u>
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Sep 5 - The captain issue is an interesting one because Kevin Durant is the best player on the team, but he's still only 18 years old. Normally you would want your point guard to take on a leadership role, but there's still some uncertainty as to who will start at point guard.

So I would think someone like Nick Collison or Kurt Thomas would take on a leadership role, and perhaps Wally Szczerbiak. From there you would have to wait and see what leaders emerge from camp. I don't see Durant as a captain. I think he has too much to worry about as it is, as far as adjusting to the league in his first year. -- Tacoma News Tribune </div>

I think Luke and Kurt are tagged. They need to develop Luke into a leader if they are going to keep him and he has the most years playing with the team and Kurt will be the Vet with leadership to back him up.

KT is a given, surely, particularly in a co-captain role.
