igotask8board Wrote

The Super Villain, I put mines in a case from Day 1 and it still found a way to get all nasty on the back. It was a pretty good case as well, Ipods are just made to get ugly quickly so consumers will be like "I want a new shiny iPod...might as well upgrade to the 4,000 terabyte version so I can watch CSI on my way to..." pfffffffffff

But the front should be in excellent condition, I have yet to peel that plastic sleeve.

omfg, AT&T is pure crap. They add so many minutes to your phone, and then when you accuse them, they get all defensive and say maybe your phone dialed in your pocket when you sat down or something." I say, yea that's the case, now that you know, can you remove the 35 minute phone call? Instead, he says hang on let me transfer you to a supervisor...10 seconds later "We're sorry, but the number you have dialed is not in service. Please hang up and..."

Amazing enough, all that crap stopped when I took my number to T-Mobile. I still owe those bastards like $300 (my dad's credit is already f'd up.)

Here's a tip for all of you with cell phones.

When you have issues with billing and the phone company you need to bypass the customer service department and tell them to transfer you to Accout Services.

The Account Services department has the authority to remove charges and credit you back. They can also fill out the necessary forms to take the credit strikes off your credit report.

QUOTE (Sasha)

It's just a way for Apple to get something out for the holidays (that's not as expensive as the iPhone) even though it's not innovative at all. I still stand by them for their computers, but the whole iPod game is getting stupid.

Apple's iPod lineup has gotten really expansive this year. There's almost too many iPods at too many pricepoints, and none of them are a clear winner.

But that's the genius of it. What they're doing is throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. Take a look at the iPhone when it first came out. They had a $500 4GB version and a $600 8GB version. Apple had no idea if people would settle for just 4GBs on the device, or if people would actually spend $600. So what'd they do? They released both and let the consumers decide.

Now it's evident that people are willing to pay $600 to get a premium device.

I was at the Apple Store yesterday and noticed that the iPod classic was getting absolutely NO attention. I'm guessing that Apple released the iPod classic for the soul reason of seeing if people still want to have a 80GB/160GB device My gut feeling is the iPod classic will fade out as people realize they don't need to have all of their music in their pocket at once.

    /end apple fanboy-ism

I'm still deciding between an 16 gig iPod Touch and a 160 gig iPod Classic. Do I go with Coolness or do I go with Storage?I do have a 4 gig memory stick that I could use on my Sony Walkman phone...but I really want an iPod back. :(Anyone else making a decision between the Touch and the Classic?

If you don't take many long trips and you're able to sync your iPod on the daily basis, definitely go with the 16GB iPod Touch. You can easily setup iTunes to swap your old music with new, and keep a solid rotation going. I definitely recommend this thread:
