Houston's agent said the 36-year-old shooter will hold a workout for several NBA teams next Tuesday but would not identify them. ESPN identified Cleveland and Dallas as interested and Boston, Phoenix, Miami, New Jersey and San Antonio as others on his radar. Houston hasn't played in two years.</div>

We need another big man. Not a washed up guard. I liked Houston back in the day and doubt that he will be effective enough for us to produce wins. I would sign him depending on how much money we are willing to give him.

I'd sign him, we don't have great shooters who can come in and drain a couple like we had in past years ( Lammond Murray say what you want but he would hit his 3's, and Eddie House). I say give him a shot, shooting has nothing to do with age, put him in for 2-3 min at the end of a quarter and let him fire away, and play a zone defense.

If he can shoot, he has a spot on this team.

Thorn: Nets Not Interested in Houston

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Allan Houston wants to stay close to home and play for a contender. That would seem to make the Nets an ideal landing spot for the 36-year-old shooter hoping for a comeback. Not so, says Rod Thorn. While saying Houston is both a "great guy" and a "very, very good player", Thorn added the Nets are set at swingman. Houston is believed to want to ease into his comeback, not signing with a team til near mid-season. He will hold a work out next Tuesday for several interested teams.
