For what he did, Rivers looked pretty good. I like what San Diego is doing by bringing him along slowly. With the talent they have in Tomlinson, there's no reason to ask Rivers to do to much.

Reminds me of what Roethlisberger did in Pittsburgh. Hand the ball to Tomlinson and just keep the ball away from the other team.

I figured that the Raiders would atleast have a chance to win this game because I thought there would be some growing pains with Rivers taking over for Brees, but Rivers did pretty well. Although Rivers didn't need to do much because Tomlinson is such a beast out on the field, that he did most of the work out there. Plus the Raiders didn't really give them any competition, I'd like to see how Rivers does in the next few games when the Chargers play some better teams.

Rivers did a real good job and played within the game plan.

I can't help but think that Cam Cameron (OC) & Wade Smith are the brains of SD franchise.

I feel sorry for the sap that had Brooks as their FF QB.

I love Rivers, being an NC State fan. I think he is going to be better than Drew Brees. He has tremendous accuracy and with one more good WR he could make a huge breakout. Imagine if you had Ted Ginn, Gates and LT on the same team. That would be sick.

I think Vincent Jackson is about to breakout as Kennan McCardells replacement. He is 6'4 and is physical. Last year he was overwhelmed with the nfl, and seems to overcome that in the preseason.

Unfortunately SD won't be able to draft Ginn next year b/c they'll be going deep into the playoffs this year.

I forgot about VJ. He tore it up in college @ Norther Colorado (D-1AA). Coming from a smaller school, it would take time to adapt.

Though, I still think the Chargers made a mistake taking Cromartie over Chad Jackson.
