Why am I responsible? Why should we as coaches be responsible for what (officials) do and don't do? I'm not being critical of officials. They have a tough job, they do a good job. I understand they're doing the best they can do out there, but it makes it difficult. You've got to get a replay, you've got to look at it, you've got to see it and make a decision before the next play. And sometimes it's not just about the replay, like I said the other day. It's about the situation in the game.</div> All valid points, but the timing just comes off as sour grapes IMO. The last thing he should be doing is revisiting last week's game. If he wants to bring it up at the committee meetings in the offseason that's great. Instead of watching college games maybe you should be focused on Buffalo.
I don't think either replay system is all that great. The NFL IMO should use the same overtime system as the NCAA. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>nstead of watching college games maybe you should be focused on Buffalo. </div> I am sure Saban will focus on Boofalu as much as Belichick did.
No other Coach in the league is complaining about having to get the Refs attention. He is a new coach in this league. Instead of him changing the way he does business, the NFL should change for him? No Way That challenge play had very little to do with the outcome of the game, maybe he needs to come to grips with the fact that it was his team that lost the game, not the NFL challenge system.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (blackadder)</div><div class='quotemain'>I am sure Saban will focus on Boofalu as much as Belichick did.</div> They were clearly too distracted by the Deion situation 1-0

When the refs screwed up the overtime coin toss in the Thanksgiving Steelers-Lions game a couple of years ago, they didn't wait until the offseason to fix it. The head of officiating said on the NFL Network that they need to do a better job of watching for the flag. Even you admit that they are all good points. Why shouldn't he say something? You do realize that he is probably responding to questions that he's being asked by the media, right? I guess Brett Favre is the only person allowed to give an honest answer when asked a question.
they are all good points and it makes sense but they are putting in what they think is best for the leauge not what is best for saban
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (blackadder)</div><div class='quotemain'>The NFL IMO should use the same overtime system as the NCAA.</div> I definatly Agree
It's one thing for fans to rant about it the day after, but for the HC of the team to still be harping on it days later is absurd.
Saban should keep his mouth shut. Who does he think he is, just shut your mouth and throw the flag 30 seconds earlier!
Saban is 100% correct. The College system is much better. It's been working very good so far. No complaints and the correct call is made 99.9% of the time. Where as in the NFL how many calls are the right calls? Just about every game you watch has a bad call that effects the game in some sort of way. The NFL needs to fix their refs and the replay system and in time I think they do turn to the college system because it's what's best for the league itself.

As I stated previously, All sides could've done better w/ this issue. I am certain it will be looked at when the appropriate time comes. Make haste slowly It's about the process not results
