NFL: PHILADELPHIA (0-0) at GREEN BAY (0-0) <h3>Favre could tie all-time wins mark against Eagles</h3> Philadelphia (10-6) at Green Bay (8-8) Sunday 1:00 pm EDT GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Brett Favre still has thepassion for the game. That was evident in February when heannounced he would be returning to the Green Bay Packers for atleast one more year. Favre begins his 16th season with the Packers on the verge ofbreaking two of the NFL's most storied records. With 147 career victories, he is one shy of John Elway's record.The 37-year-old also needs only seven touchdown passes tosurpass Dan Marino's mark of 420. Favre, who will be making his 238th consecutive start, hopes toequal Elway's record in front of his adoring fans as the Packershost the Philadelphia Eagles. Green Bay plays at the New YorkGiants next week, then hosts the San Diego Chargers in WeekThree. The Packers won their last four won games last season to finisha surprising 8-8, and the strong December helped influenceFavre's decision to come back. The only three-time MVP in league history, Favre is the NFL'sall-time leader in completions with 5,021 and ranks secondbehind Marino in passing yards with 57,500. Favre made hisfirst start for the Packers on September 13, 1992. While Favre looks to match Elway, he has another incentive -snapping a four-game losing streak against the Eagles. Startingwith a 20-17 playoff loss in 2003, Favre has lost toPhiladelphia in each of the last four seasons and is just 4-7lifetime against the Eagles. Last year, the Packers were routedin Philadelphia, 31-9. Favre threw a pair of second-half interceptions and was knockedout of the game with 6:13 remaining with a head injury andstinger. The Green Bay quarterback dropped to 0-6 inPhiladelphia, although he is 4-1 against the Eagles at LambeauField. The Eagles begin the season with optimism, as they havequarterback Donovan McNabb healthy and hope to challenge for theNFC East title. McNabb has started only 19 of 32 games thelast two seasons and missed the final six games last season witha knee injury. The last time McNabb was healthy for an entire season, he ledthe Eagles to the Super Bowl following the 2004 campaign. Thatseason, the Syracuse product passed for a career-high 3,875yards. The Eagles begin the season without four-time Pro Bowllinebacker Jeremiah Trotter, who was released in preseason.Trotter had been a mainstay on Philadelphia's defense since1999, and the decision to release him surprised McNabb. "A guy that was asked to slim down - and he did that - a guythat came into camp in great shape, had a great training campand also played well in two preseason games," McNabb said. "So,(it was) something that I did not expect, and something thatit's probably going to take days for us to got over. Days orweeks."
