The worst play ever to happen is when panthers were up by 7 points with like 6 mins left in the game and Chris Gamble on a PR trys to throw a lateral to Richard Marshall who didnt even expect theball and the throw was behind him and vikings got it with GREAT field positon. That play cost the panthers the game!
That was aweful...I'm glad the Vikings capitalized though...thankfully the refs tried to give the game back.
Nice win for Minnesota. They look good this year. If they continue to play this well through the rough part of their schedule, the NFC North might put 2 teams in the playoffs and not look like the joke they are made out to be.

Thats great.
Oh, and the problem wasn't so much the penalties called against us, but the reviews from the refs. I think there were three reviews which I disagreed with...all going in the Panthers favor.
Maybe he thought that he was playing the MN Gophers and not the Vikings, at which point that play may have been returned for a TD.
John Fox admitted to calling the play. And later you can see it was a designed play. Gamble would have got chewed out if Gamble did it by himself, but he wasnt. Im mad at John Fox for the call and Gamble for deciding to force it.
I can understand that Fox wanted to destroy the Vikings spirit. In addition, we had been burned to the right side on directional kicks in the first game of the season and in one of the returns from the Panthers, so it probably seemed like a good idea. BUT, Gamble should have realized that the play wasn't there - and even if he was going to go through with it, he should have made sure his lateral actually made it to the intended receiver.

It really wouldnt have mattered if steve smith played. Panthers win easy, and there is no need for discussion. This play wasnt the difference, he was.

I am not saying that when all your players all play their best games, and catch a team on a bad day, might not pull out an occasional win without steve smith. But, for the most part, they have no chance without him.

I figured no way a coach ever is that stupid. I see now I'm wrong. To bad cause Fox is a good coach but the game would of been over otherwise
I'm not ready to count the Panthers out yet. They're missing their MVP. The defense played much better. Peppers was an absolute beast.

How can you compare the two? If it is based on their impact on their respective teams then I want some of what you're smoking. Tom Brady has been a MONUMENTAL impact player for the Patriots, leading them to 3 Super Bowl victories, including one against Steve and the Panthers. How dare you say Steve Smith is the superior player? That speaks volumes about your intelligence or lack thereof.
