Church, Jimenez lead Nationals past Braves <h3>WASHINGTON 7, ATLANTA 4</h3>ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Braves have played well againstthe Washington Nationals, but that didn't make Sunday's loss anyeasier to take. Ryan Church hit a three-run home run and D'Angelo Jimenez hadthree RBI as the Nationals avoided a three-game series sweepwith a 7-4 victory over the Braves. Atlanta had won their previous five meetings with Washington,but their failure to run that streak to six dented their playoffaspirations. Atlanta (73-70) now trails the National League wild card-leadingSan Diego Padres (77-64) by five games and the NL East-leadingNew York Mets (81-61) by 8 1/2 games. New York topped Houston4-1 on Sunday. The Padres play later at Colorado. A two-run home run by Chipper Jones - his 25th of the season -and an RBI double by Mark Teixeira staked the Braves to a 3-1lead through five innings, but Washington quickly erased thelead in the sixth.
