RU has made Arthur's top 16 cut. I imagine we don't get him since we entered the recruiting process a little late, but the fact that we made his first cut shows we're going after him hard. If we do, in fact, land him it would be HUGE. Not only do we get Arthur, we probably get his younger brother Bryce, who will most likely be the #1 recruit in the nation next year. He would be the successor to Rice. Arthur will trim his list to 10 in about a week, on Sept 17. He'll make his final decision in December.
This is an article from a few days ago. Here are some quotes:

Depending on the rating service, East linebacker Arthur Brown is anywhere from the 16th-best college football prospect among the nation's high school seniors to the very best, the greatest talent the city and state have seen since … well, since the mid-1980s and a future Hall of Famer named Sanders. And he might not be the best player on his team.

His brother, Bryce, is a year younger and, like Sanders, a breathtaking running back. Analysts at Rivals.com and Scout.com haven't yet rated the junior class of prospects, but Rivals' Jeremy Crabtree says he's a decent bet to be the country's No. 1 when they do.

.....

Arthur is weighing 22 colleges, a football who's who that includes Florida State, Miami (Fla.), Alabama and Nebraska in addition to USC, Florida and Oklahoma. (For what it's worth, OU and Rutgers media guides graced a coffee table in the family's tan-sided, two-bedroom home in south Wichita last month.) He'll narrow the list to 16 during the ESPNU telecast Friday, take it down to 10 on Sept. 17 and make his pick sometime in December.

.....

Brian Butler, a former small-college player and high school assistant coach who trains and shepherds the Browns and a handful of other area players, puts the chances at 80% — "very high" — that they'll stay together.

Rivals Profile
Yeah, it's gonna take a lot to pry him away from OU. They've been his leader for awhile now. Would be a huge get and could have an impact on the future for recruiting with the other 5 star guys..
