<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheBeef)</div><div class='quotemain'>The Dolphins sucked today....if they play like that all year, they will draft 1st....flame away....</div> I respect this post. No flame necessary. I feel your pain.
I'm not ready to give up on the season yet. It's only year two under Saban and there are going to be bumps along the way back to football glory. I'm still willing to ride them out. I still believe Saban was the right choice for head coach and I'm not ready to give up on Donte Culpepper yet. If the Dolphins aren't ready to make a run at the playoffs yet, that's okay. I just want to see the Dolphins make real progress. I had enough of quick fixes under Teflon Dave.
Im in it for the long run as well....no quick fixes, they rarely work....Id hate to see the late prime of Thomas and Taylor's career get wasted, but it takes time to turn over the roster when Wanny gimped it....
I'll shoot as straight as I can here, since I have no real affinity for either team. First off, Buffalo is not as bad as expected. They blew a huge lead on New England in week 1. Should have won that game. That should tell the Miami fans something about their competition. Second, Miami is still working out the kinks. Culpepper is not playing well, but that doesn't mean he's not capable of doing so. Time. If he's still playing this way by week 5, start looking at drafting a QB next season and cutting him. Miami has holes to fill. I think after ending the season winning 6 games in a row, people starting thinking Miami was "there". But they're obviously not "there" yet. But I like what Saban is doing, and he'll get the ship righted. Hang in there guys, lots of season left.
SF, Beef, & Dale summed up exactly how I feel. Remember! It is not how you start but how you finish. Just ask the Colts last year.

The Bills do look better than I expected.
Miami is still working out the kinks. Culpepper is not playing well, but that doesn't mean he's not capable of doing so.
He looked okay (75 to 80%) during the preseason game w/ Carolina. It used to be that you weren't fully back from this severe of an injury until the 2nd season back so in DC's case 2007. When acquired, I thought that DC @ 80 percent of his 2004 season will be an incredible upgrade over Miami's recent futility.
Miami has holes to fill. The secondary and OL were issues coming in and still are.
But I like what Saban is doing, and he'll get the ship righted.
Thanks for reinforcing that its not about the process but the results
Hang in there guys, lots of season left.
All that optimism and then this "compliment". Thanks SF.
