well, now that we have merged with sports two it really sucks, i am not going to lie to you about it, it stinks. JBB was the coolest, now look at it. it's layout of the website is disgusting, the way you navigate through the site is so damn terrable, it is out dated and so damn annoying, i loved JBB, now look what you guys have done! merged with a site that is so far from what JBB already was, and for what! maybe i missed something here, what was the motive for this sudden merging of a fabulous website, JBB, and an absolutely shockingly bad website, sports two? why the werge? someone explain to me, i know that you guys didnt like the old server or something like that, but why the werge with sports two? why them? seems like we have taken a hundred steps backwards rather than a step foward, and we should be moving foward as a website, attracting more and more members and becoming more well known as a leader in basketball discussions over the internet. i dont see us moving foward if we just become another part of a crappy site that looks really bad, very difficult to navigate, and is a complete downgrade to what we already had. do you guys regret the merge? because if i were you i would. now dont go suspending me or warning me or some other bullying tactic to get me to shut up, JBB was so much better than this god damned sports two, and as a member of jbb for a while now, and after spending endless hours of discussion on JBB, i am dissapointed with the merge and i am voicing my justified opinion on the matter. </p> i will eventually get used to the site, as discussion is discussion and i cant walk away from the quality of it and quality our current members instill in it. but how do we move foward, asnd how is sports two going to let us move foward? that is my main question, so please be patient with me understand my situation. I would also like to know how the rest of JBB feel about the merge and how it has effected the rest of you, so please voice your opinions on the matter, and if you disagree with me, post that too, i would really like to know how the rest of you guys feel about the whole merge and how it has effected you, because it sure has effected me.</p> sorry to anyone who i have offended in any way, i am just trying to make sense of such a senseless act.</p>
It's a process. Right now, I'm not too thrilled with some of the things here, but on the other hand, I am thrilled about some. The site is a major eye sore, but it's pretty new. The sigs are an eyesore, but we're working on guidelines for those. You're justified in making this thread and I hope no other mod moves it/deletes it because I'm not going to.

It does take time to get used to the site, navigation, the new look etc. However, the software is only 3 months old versus vBulletin which has been around for a longtime now.</p> The problem with vBulletin and other software we tried using was the constraint over getting features built that we needed for JBB. The programmers at vBulletin would make a hack, but never support it once a browser updated it's version, or something it piggybacked off of upgraded. The hack became useless and it was back to the drawing board.</p> Having custom built software and programmers to support it and build what the community wants is a huge step forward.</p> Definitely do not regret the merger. The potential for this site is off the charts. It's just going to take some growing pains and an adjustment period for everyone to get comfortable again.</p>
I was in the same boat Akira. I wasn't an overly large fan of the site intially. Once you get past it's learning curve though, it's really quite alright. It's not as difficult to navigate as it seems intially, plus, all our quality members from JBB are still here, as well as a whole slew of new quality guys for S2 and other sites it merged with. So, while it takes some time getting used to, it'll be ok. I still like the merger and I love the potential we have to grow with this new site.
Navigation tip:</p> Click the Team Logo and it takes you to a page with all the latest threads for that particular team. It's faster than scrolling down to find it.</p> Also there's a button on everypage called Add to Favorites, which will bookmark a page. So if you wanted to check in on the Laker Forum first for example, just go to your bookmark and jump right into the Laker Forum. </p>
Hey man you will get use to it. When BBW came over here BBW members went crazy on how they didnt like the site at all.. I myself hated it compare to BBW. But once i got use to it ,its a great site full with great members
I also Hate it I was serioulsy thinking of never coming back to the site again but like you said it's about the discussion not what it looks like. Hopefully I will get used to it as if I don't I will probably get sick of using the site.
It just takes some time to get used too. Everybody that came from other sites thought the same thing once they arrived, but they got used to it, and now they like it a lot.</p> Just give it some time, it will grow on you.</p>
I hope you guys stick around, I think all of us from JBB have had some concerns arise since we've been here, but as the other guys said,we're all the same members, and we will still have the quality discussion we had over at JBB, it will take time for adjustment, but the same goes for all of us, just gotta stick it out, and keep the big picture in mind, which is the huge potential for this site.
You'll learn to love it, when I first joined I pretty much instantly left. However, now, I love posting here. The navagation system actually works quite well, you just have to get used to it.
i think that you guys have made some good points, and thank you for understanding, im sure i will get used to the new site, but i will still miss JBB.

I share similar sentiments but I do see potential in this site. In a couple of months, this place will be running very smoothly.</p> The franchise is still here anyway. </p>

I kind of felt the same but over the last days i have started to like this site more and more because there much more forums and others sports to discuss with other people. Learn to love it AKIRA.
