I think he will do good coming off the bench and I'm sure he'll do better than Collins. I could see this signing as one of our better ones so far which says alot.

Colins plays for other reasons. Not only is he a great post defender, but according to my calculations, he's among the best players in the league at positively influencing the rebound differential.

He is only good for guarding opposing big men like Shaq and Shaq is old now is it doesn't matter as much. I doubt he shuts KG or Bosh down though.

You'd be surprised. Most opposing big men do much better once Collins has left the game.

so...is there any chance of collins returning to his old, healthy, non-injury-hassled form next season?

that'd be like a dream come true...collins, with somewhat of an offense game, instead of 0 offensive game.

You know, I had high hopes last year . . . he lost a lot of weight in the offseason, hoping to ease the burden on his knees, and claimed that his injuries were healing . . . but then he regressed again. He plays very physically, takes a lot of charges, and gets beat up a lot. I think we'll never really know the truth about the injuries and his physical condition until one of us meets him at the mall and asks. Are there any Twin autograph sessions coming up?

Did you not watch the playoffs? That can be the only explanation for including Bosh in that statement.

Besides Shaq, there is Yao, Curry, Oden, Kaman, Howard and the wimpy JON.
