First, all the credit in the world belongs to Grossman. He's been fantastic this season and proving a lot of people (including myself) wrong. The question is, is this for real or is Grossman going to crash soon? My opinion? I think he is showing that he does have the potential, but I don't think he will keep this up throughout the season. Teams will figure out how to put some pressure on him and force him to make mistakes.
I need some convincing on this one....he has looked good and with that defense, Chicago could be scary. I just don't know how consistent he will be this year. The problem is, as soon as he starts to waver QB controversy talk will stir up again and that can't be good for his confidence.
I'm not sold on him yet either, but it's hard not to like what he's done the first two weeks. This is one of the most surprising early developments of the season. I don't think there were many people who thought that Grossman would come out on fire like this.
He's the real deal because his defense is so good he's never under any true pressure to have to come out and win a game. On a lesser team he would be suspect. But with that D, they can keep teams off balance by using both the run and pass and not having to rely on just one. In the end, Real Deal as long as the group around him stays healthy.
he has the skills but he is way too injury prone and remember he hasnt even started 15 games. So for what its worth he has played well verse two horible teams, lets see what happens when he faces a better defense in the future.
Injuries are his Achilles heel. LOL He may be the one former Gator QB that actually does something in the NFL.
i always liked him especially back in Florida i've been rooting for him, i'm glad hes finally getting it going so far
Alot of you are giving props to the defence (which is great of coarse) but I would have to give it up for the O-Line. They have only allowed 1 sack so far and that gives Rex the time he needs to find his receivers. I just hope we can carry this into all of our games this year.
1st half of this game, Grossman is a pretender. He's thrown 4 passes which should have been picked off (one has)...all you need to do is put pressure on him.
As I said - pretender. Put pressure on Grossman and he buckles. If the Bears lose this game, its his fault.
Little reality check for Grossman but none the less this shows how good the Bears really are. Their QB struggled from what little I've seen and they still are likely going to pull away with a victory.

Lot of credit to vikes D scheme and players, they were in his face all day. Pat williams lines up offsides every play, but that is irrelevant.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pats_Fan420)</div><div class='quotemain'>That was close. The Bears aren't the Colts, thats for sure.</div> Thats true, they have a defense to go with high powered O. Much better than colts. Thanks for pointing out how close it was, thank God grossman is as clutch as brady.
Grossman clutch? C'mon - any QB in the NFL could have made that last throw - starter or backup. Mike McMahon could have made that throw. The Bears won despite Grossman. They deserved the win - the Vikings screwed up and the Bears did what they were supposed to do.

Vikings did screw up, no doubt about it. Grossman was under pressure all day and Johnson had basically a clean pocket all day. The difference is Grossman has the arm to lead his team back, and once johnson was put in that position it was over. I dont think i saw him complete a long pass all day. He can pick you apart short, but when it comes time to pass down the field he cant do it. He couldnt have made the throw that grossman made to win the game. Ill give the vikes a lot credit, their D-line is much better than i thought, O-line is dominant, Chester is a powerful back, secondary isnt as good as hyped to be, but they play ok as long as thier is pressure. If given even a little time to throw they get picked apart easily. LBs played great, they were in every gap most of the game shutting down run. I am concerned about Jones running the ball, too much dancing.
Heres how i judge an NFL QB: 1.Can he make all the throws? Grossman can, most NFL QBs cant 2.Does he have arm strength? Grossman has + arm strength, but it could be better 3.Does he stand in the pocket and deliver? Grossman is working on this, it was his worst problem until recently 4.Is he tough? He keeps coming back, he must be tough 5.Can he operate when the games on the line? He did today I think Grossman is for real....
