I said it before and it came true last night - the option play is not good for that long. The Falcons first two games were just smoke and mirrors. If you force Vick to be a QB he can't win the game. Keep him in the backfield, stay in front of him, and you can contain him. New Orleans is not that great of a team, they just studied a little film and saw what the Falcons were doing. In defense of the Falcons, I will say New Orleans was playing with 12 men for the entire game.

In Vick's defense the WRs were covered really well and there were quite a few dropped balls. Plus the Saints were just fired up all game along with the whole crowd. There was no way the Saints weren't winning this one, they were playing with true passion out there. Vick didn't have a good showing but it sure as hell wasn't all him. Even ol'reliable Crumpler was dropping balls right in his hands. Poor showing by the Falcons offense, but they will beat the Saints next time in our dome, and they will own the Cardinals this Sunday. Hats off to the Saints though, they came to play and the Falcons didn't. Falcons are still the better team.
Saints gave their fans exactly what they needed...a great return home its nice to get that win to top off everything they have done for the area and then a monday night win...awesome
The game was awesome for the Saints how look like the will contend for a playoff sopt this year but we will see the have a rather difficult schedule coming up.
I was very happy for the city of New Orleans. I think it could of been the 72 Dolphins playing them that night and the Saints would of won that game. They were on a misson Monday. Joe Horn often labled an NFL "Diva" really is the outspoken leader of that team and that city loves him. Bush does so much for a team. Atlanta did what Green Bay did and it came back to haunt them. They focused everything on Reggie Bush and Drew Brees was able to find other players to convert 3rd downs. If teams continue to do this then they'll be in a dogfight with the Saints. I don't expect the playoffs out of New Orleans but their much better than everyone thought heading into this season and certainly on the verge of breaking into contention.
Hi, I'm Ben. New Guy. I just wanted to chime in here and mention that I was at this game- AKA the single greatest sporting event ever witnessed. For the first time I felt what it's like to have a real emotional and physical attatchment to total strangers tossing a ball around. I found myself screaming involuntarily, hugging total strangers and not minding beer being poured on me. One fact sums up the atmosphere in the Dome that night- they ran out of beer. In New Orleans, think about that for a minute. The whole city left work early (the governor and mayor asked the local businesses to close early!) and acted like it was mardi gras on a monday in the middle of september. Strange stuff. I don't have any allusions about the Saints being this juggernaut on the way to the Super Bowl, but our new coach seems to actually prepare for other teams and discipline players when they mess up.
