QUOTE

Reggie Evans admits he's greedy and selfish on the basketball court.
But he's not talking about when his team is looking to score — he means when somebody takes a shot and the ball is about to come off the rim.
“Just being determined, willing and real greedy,” said Evans of his approach to rebounding. “That's a phase of the game you can be real selfish. It's different than scoring in basketball. It's just doing everything to get the rebound so we can get the outlet and be ready to run.”
While Evans, a sixth-year pro, only played 17.1 minutes per game for the Nuggets last season, he averaged 7 rebounds. He was thrilled by the news, especially since he played such a limited role in Denver, and it could have decreased this year with the return of Kenyon Martin.
“I'm just happy knowing the organization wanted me,” said Evans, who'll make $4.3 million this season and has $14.7 million left over the following three years. “That's the biggest thing.”
As for the possibility that the 6-8, 245-pounder could start at power forward for the Sixers, he said he hasn't thought that far ahead.

Source: Philly Burbs
