Part of me (the Benson-Love part) doesn't want to listen to reganomics because the truth hurts.

I'd rather change up who's in the "project big man" slot because I admittedly like Benson as a person more than I do Illic (but then again who really knows Mile's personality?). Plus I'm willing to give someone else a new shot since Illic hasn't worked out so far.

But your point about Malik is a hard one to disagree with. As much as I like Benson, I'd be a hypocrite if I wanted to surround Kidd and Carter with more young, unproven talent while at the same time justifying keeping the team together. Yes I love project young guys (hassan, pops, benson, white), but not dedicating yourself to a goal is only going to result in floundering. While I'd want to keep our team intact and add these players to our roster, winning a championship by doing so is not realistic.

Congrats, you've now legitmately changed my mind. You should really post here more often!

I won't go as far to say anything I posted is the "truth" but as far as I see it if Nenad really is around 90% and Big Cat is playing to essentially prove he still belongs in the league with Josh and Jason on the bench shoring up our depth from the bench there really isn't time for another big to begin with. But if the worst happens and we lose any one of those guys we need insurance from a tried and tested player who can fill in spot duty. Don't get me wrong i'd love to see Sean or Rod or whoever come in and step up like Nenad and Mikki have before them but we need a player who can hedge our bets better and that guy is Malik especially if it's for an extended period of time. Sure he's far from exciting but he's got a good head on his shoulders and doesn't make the mistakes a young kid will assuredly will and he provide Frank with another vet to help him from himself in overextending the players we have that he trusts in case of injury.

Can we please get rid of Ilic and Brob and sign Jumaine Jones and H20.
