its the last play of the game, the Rams lead 16-14 and they punt....Arizona calls for and completes a fair catch around the 35 yard line....there is a penalty on the Cardinals and the Rams decline it and assume the game is over....Dennis Green goes about setting up his free kick....the Rams coaching staff is confused....they are wondering why the Cards get a free kick....they are told that the Cards get an untimed free kick down in which the kicker can tee up the ball and kick it without a rush, and if it goes in, its a FG....the Rams coaches have never heard of such a rule....they decide to un-decline the penalty and the REFS LET THEM!!!!!!!....they let them undecline a penalty and the of course the Rams take a knee and its over....the Cards got screwed, and Rackers got screwed....he could of been apart of NFL history for making a game winning 75 yard FG....it sounds far, but consider he gets to kick it off the tee, without a snap and with no rush, he has a legit shot to make that.....

Those Refs should be suspended. The rams already declined the penalty.

i believe a blown call has been messed up before on game winning fieldgoals....dream bubble giants lose in playoffs on bad calls by officials...that was a good day

You guys really need to understand that David Green was more confused than anybody else. And, the person who said that the Rams coaching is stupid, is stupid. They got 4 former Head Coaches on that team, and still have never heard of such a rule. It is a very very very very rare rule.

And yet the majority of the posters on this site are familiar with the rule....rare or not, there is no excuse for any NFL coach lacking knowledge of the rule book....
