Simms is in a hospital under critial status for some reason. I just heard it. Docotrs at the game though he was dehydrated at the game but apparently not.

Peter King just said, on the NBC pregame show, that he spoke to the GM of the Bucs and Chris Simms isn't in critical condition. I am anxious to hear what is going on though.

I believe ESPN dot com said Simms had an emergency spleen operation. Best wishes and speedy recovery, Chris.

A ruptured spleen - and he came back in the game and lead a TD drive. Pretty impressive.

So, now the knock on him will be he chokes in big games and his spleen ruptures. Hope he is ok, as long as he is starting, one less team in contention

I just read on NFL.com that Reggie Wayne's brother was killed in an accident while driving a delivery truck. This kind of news really puts the game into perspective. I hope Chris and Reggie can find some peace and rest tonight.

I give Simms credit. He took a lot of hits and came back and Tampa nearly won. He's proven in my opinion to be tough with this. From what I heard he's doing well.

I guess Simms is out for the season now? I've never even heard of the guy they plan on starting going forward.

Time to get Jeff George on the phone, maybe? [IMG]

I guess I'll have to drop him on fantasy team. [IMG] In all seriousness I hope he's ok.

Bruce Gradkowski, the rookie out of Toledo, will start. This guy is really really nervous, his first preseason game he threw up. I think Gradkowski's first two games wont be good at all, and likely end up with a loss, unless that bucs D steps up. Gradkowski playing at Toledo, didnt face that many complex defenses. He is going to take a couple weeks to relax, and ready defenses.
