<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Seahawks lost reigning MVP Shaun Alexander indefinitely after X-rays revealed a small crack in a foot.

Alexander missed two days of practice last week because of a foot injury believed to have been sustained in a tackle in the Arizona Cardinals game in Week 2. Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren, who announced the injury Monday, wasn't sure which part of Sunday's game against the Giants that Alexander suffered further injury to the foot.</div>

He has a fractured bone in his foot. This should shake up a few FF leagues.

At least he's not out for the year. He'll be out for the bye and then another three weeks beyond that. Totally sucks for Alexander owners, but could be a lot worse.

Personally, I don't like to give credit to silly things like curses, but how can you deny the Madden Curse?

Something fun to bring up each year. Coincidence can be funny.

Is it Colin Cowherd that has the "What's old....what's new..." clip that plays all the time? He should have included the SI to Madden transition.

alexander is definitly the man on this team. I think the bears would have won even if alexander was playing, but it wouldn't have been as bad...

Alexander said himself that it would have taken the whole season to be back at full strenght so look for him to put up big numbers next season
