    </p>Sources have also told the Philadelphia Daily News that Ruben Amaro Jr., the Phillies' assistant GM, might be the front-runner for the Pirates' job.

    </p>Amaro, who has already interviewed for the Astros' vacant GM job, told the Daily News that the Pirates had yet to ask the Phillies for permission to interview him.</div></div>
