Okay, I guess I am trying to take something away from them then. The Seahawks are the best team they've played this year and they throttled them badly. All I'm trying to say is that the NFC tends to be weaker than the AFC in the past few years. If the Bears come into Gillette and beat the Pats 37-6 or if they throttle their AFC opponent in the Super Bowl then I will really be impressed. Unfortunately it will have to be at that time because the only potentially dominant AFC team they face the rest of this regular season is the Pats. Fortunately for the Pats, they normally improve and play their best football during the second half of the season so this game should really be a test for the Bears. Thier D will be tested in this game.
Mushin isnt a true #1 WR? Come on now. He is legit, look at his career, not a HOFer but definately a #1. How many guys in league have a 16 TD catch season? Berrian is playing lights out, he would be on cover of every magazine if he didnt drop every third deep ball.

Oh, well, i am sure you have a stat to justify that dominance. I await it.

Grossman isn't using him as one either as he continues to spread the ball around. Is Muhammad the go to receiver? After the first few games, I don't think you can call him that. You're right though. Not many WRs have a 16 td season under their belt. He's had two phenomenal years, but both were with the Panthers. I really don't think he is respected by opponents as a true #1 receiver either. Now I'm not saying that this hampers the Bears at all. New England has been very successful without a true #1 receiver. It just puts more emphasis on the play of Grossman.

So anything can happen and that's why the saying "Any Given Sunday" is as popular as the movie itself. Green Bay ended up winning the Super Bowl that year as well.

You can't completely rely on past performances, but you can't just look past them either. I don't think anyone on here can say they expect the 49'ers to win against the Bears, and I doubt anyone seriously expects it to be close. Could it be? sure, but it is a bet and unfortunately not everyone has faith in their team... And I think that odds are the Bears will win by 16+ so if I were BF1 I'd probably take that bet, then again I don't believe in asking for points so maybe I wouldn't... I mean it's not like people are betting for money on here so why not just bet straight up? I mean how satisfying is it to say, " All right, we only lost by 15!"?

This is the NFL....they give you the schedule and you play who they put in front of you....the Bears have played 4 teams, 2 of which are not good, and 2 that are(thats about the same as every team in the league has played)....they blew out 3 of them, and won a close game on the road against the 4th in which they didnt play well(the sign of a good team, winning on the road against quality teams without your "A" game)....by now means, should the start be lessened because of that schedule, it was a legit schedule.... <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pats_Fan420)</div><div class='quotemain'>If the Bears come into Gillette and beat the Pats 37-6 or if they throttle their AFC opponent in the Super Bowl then I will really be impressed.</div> This is one of the most ridiculous statements I think Ive ever heard....in order to impress you, the Bears must either blow out your team in your stadium(a meer victory in your house wont do it?), or blow out an AFC opponent in the Super Bowl(once again, just winning the Super Bowl isnt good enough to impress you?)....you must of clubed Rick Martel on the head and drank all his arrogance....Im sure the Bears will be sad if they cant "impress" you, but they will manage to catch all thier tears with thier big ass Super Bowl rings....
At least most Packer fans are intelligent enough to realize the Bears are the top team in the NFC. The Lions are probably still thinking they're only a few plays away from taking the conference. LOL I'm at the point I feel sorry for them living under the Millen dictatorship
BTW question of interest. I'm sure the GSH on the Bear jersey is for George Halas but wondering what his middle name was?

Please remember that the Steelers are an AFC team. They also beat the Seahawks 21-10 in the Super Bowl. Maybe the Bears will prove me wrong and pull a '02 Bucs and dominate everyone but we'll have to see. As of now, I don't think they can handle the top AFC teams.

Okay, if they beat the Pats (probably the only AFC "strength" team on their schedule for the rest of their season) at home and win the Super Bowl then that will prove that they can beat good AFC teams. If you'll read my posts from the past few days you'll see that I am anything but arrogant. The AFC has been the stronger division the past few years and that is undeniable. That is why I'm not too impressed so far. If they can stomp Denver, Indy, Cincy, NE, Pitt, etc. then they have something to brag about. Its kind of like the Bears are a Z28 and they've been racing 4 cylinder Mustangs and beating the snot out of them. Lets see what they can do against a V8.

AFC is clearly stronger than NFC, but I don't believe that the AFC have improved from last year. I really thought that the NFC was going to catch up this year, but so far CAR, TB, ARZ are looking poor. Only teams looking ok are SEA, ATL, and CHI.
