Ainge on TA: http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/basketb...amp;format=text

QUOTE

Tony Allen has been so impressive in his work to come back from knee surgery, Danny Ainge is now banking on full availability by the guard once the season starts. “I think he’ll be ready to go by Nov. 1,” said the Celtics director of basketball operations. Ainge believes that Allen, who has now had surgery on both knees, learned a lot about patience and recovery time following his first surgery two summers ago. His rehabilitation from that process was so long and arduous, some in the organization began to question whether Allen would ever regain his old explosiveness. “You see signs of it,” Ainge said of Allen’s explosiveness. “But I think he’ll be Tony Allen again. We’re going to get him back. He’s developed total trust and confidence in people.”
Most of all, Allen appears to be developing trust in the stability of his knees. This, especially, is where he learned from the first surgery.
“He’s doing everything that can be done on the floor right now,” Ainge said. “He’s playing 2-on-2, running, diving on the floor, taking charges. He’s playing pretty well right now.
“He’s gaining confidence in his leg again, too, but that’s going to take time.”

More great news on TA's road to recovery. Of course, we all have our doubts and have the right to be skeptical, but the fact that he's participating in activities full-force and already taking charges/diving in practice is very encouraging.
