I don't think much of Carroll's skills as a corner, but I bet someone could turn him into a decent safety. He is a hard hitter and a decent tackler... He just sucks in man to man coverage.

He had a good camp and pre season from what a Panthers fan told me on a Packer board. The other guy is Will Blackmon our 4th round pick from Boston College. He was hurt and is now healthy at last. He's an athlete but has a lot of talent. Played WR and CB in college. Overall though it doesn't matter. Carroll is gone and the Pack can finally move on without him.

Is he still is the league?</div> Was with the Saints. I think he was cut though before the year. Here is a note. 9 of 27 players drafted by Sherman are still in the NFL. That's exactly 1/3. That's an awful number and this team is bad because of Sherman the GM (he was a good coach tho) and Ted Thompson's inability to fix the team or his decision to rebuild instead of win now.

And picking up Grady Jackson off of waivers.
I thought he could have made a better Safety the Manuel but damn he was given enough oppurtunities to succeed and he blew all of them, just like his coverages, good luck somewhere Amahd, now he'll go to Huoston and become a stud just watch, thats just our luck. GOSH I remember on Draft day screaming at the Screen! CHRIS GAMBLE YOU SON OF A BI### and then I see the name of Amahd Carroll, i heard his name like once and it was mentioned with the 2nd and 3rd rounds, I was about to shoot somebody.
Carrol is definately an athlete, he just needs to work on his coverage skills. Then again he's been in the league for what 3 years? So I think he was given more then enough chances.

So I think he was given more then enough chances.</div> yeah thats the problem, the only thing is he's only like 23, the age at which most rookie corners come into the NFL at, he's extremely young and still has some room to grow, in both maturity and physically.
Someone will put Carroll on their practice squad and try to convert him to safety. I don't think this will be the last we hear of him. Or he might end up in NFL Europe for a few years.
I am so glad the packer took Carroll, because panthers got a soon to be pro bowl corner and u guys got nothing in return. I would look for him on the 49ers squad, they are building that team with speed and have no depth at corner. Also maybe the browns, they are really nicked up in the secondary with Gary Baxter hurt, and after Steve Smith lights them up, they are gonna see that need for a CB Carrolls atheltcism will gain him a job somewhere, because he has all the tools to be a good player. With the right coaching, he could be a solid corner. All he needs to learn is how to not have pass interfernce.
