    1. Jenna Fischer is fantastic.</p>

    2. Talking about pogs AND doug in one blog? I have a new favorite player. If he doesn't make the Nets, whatever team he ends up one will have to become my second favorite team.</p>

Over the past week or two I've become a huge fan of his. His blogs are HILARIOUS, I was literally laughing out loud various times.<DIV>He seems to be a very smart and positive guy, I hope his skills can match that. He'd be a nice addition for team mentality and spirit.</DIV>

He's an athletic big man. Doubt he's a waste of space. </p>

Not good enough to get on the roster? Probably.</p>

    That's true.</p>

The Nets didn't bring him in because he has a funny blog.</p>

man i want rod to be on this team so bad. i think he would be great lockerroom guy and keep our guys loose when things might get down. i also would love for rod to have his own nets/misc show on YES. how great would that be? this is a guy that sooo many people can relate too. ive commented on his blogs and have told him to bust his ass off on D if he wants any chance of making this team. hopefully he takes that to heart and is doing it because i dont know anyone who is rooting against him, he is the new and improved veal.

While there's a reason that Rod Benson is trying to squeeze onto a team and has been playing D-League ball, he would be an upgrade over Illic. In that sense, he's not a waste and is good enough to get on the roster.

A few years ago, everyone was badmouthing the likes of Mikki Moore. You can never measure someone's heart and dedication. Benson may very well have been drafted had he not been injured his senior year. I think he's got a chance to contribute to an NBA team, but to make it, you have to be the top of the top. There are thousands of kids who play college ball, thousands more that play internationally, and only a couple dozen can enter the league any given year. Just think about that.

    What a poem. </p>

This guy just keeps getting better and better. Hopefully he's as good on the court as he is with the jokes.</p>

"Ihave a little "Boom Tho" post-dunk celebration. Steve Panawek helped me out with that. This is getting to be a lot of fun."</p>

    says Rod on toomuchrodbenson.com</p>

Would Thorn and Frank deny us this?</p>

It's the NBA Finals. 12 seconds left. Game seven. Nets down by one.</p>

The motion offense goes into effect, just like always. Carter is doubled. Kidd spots a wide open man in the paint. </p>

The pass goes inside from Kidd. Is that Jason Collins? UGH! What is Kidd doing??!!</p>

The pass bounces off Collins' face. OH, NO!! </p>

Coach Frank actually says "NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!" in super slow motion. Everyone on this board throws up his hands in disgust.</p>

But wait! It's surprise ROY candidate Rod Benson! </p>

He snags the deflection in midair, windmills and...</p>

    BOOM!! GOT THEM DOS!!</p>

Sussman's "BOOM THO!!" is barely audible over the growing din.</p>

Jenna Fischer and ghoti hug each other in the front row. </p>

Nets WIN!! Benson is the FINALS MVP!!</p>

    </p>
