Again with the stats before there was even a superbowl....there should be a rule that you are not allowed to brag about stats that happened before you were even born...</div>
So should your kid (if you have one or ever have one) not be allowed to talk about the Steelers Super Bowl's assuming he's a Steeler fan?

Should Baseball just forget about Babe Ruth? I guess we should throw all his stats out. How about Vince Lombardi? Should we only count his 2 Super Bowls and that's it?

That's awful logic. That sounds like logic coming from someone who has sour grapes about the history of the game. GB and Chicago are 2 most decorated teams ever. Pittsburgh, Dallas, and San Fran are the two most decorated teams of the Super Bowl era. The one thing all 3 of those teams have in common is they play for a trophy named after a Packer Legend Vince Lombardi.

As for nobody caring about the Packers. Half of this Site HATES the Packers because there are so many fans on this site. People were worried that you were another TKO whom talked a lot of smack but dissapeared when his team the Bills faltered last year. Obviously you proved us wrong and for that you get some respect.

Just don't disapear if Pittsburgh misses the playoffs and come back talking smack again next year. [IMG]</div>
Spoken like a true Packer fan. I just don't see how you can argue how great your team is when you refer to things that happened when Football wasn't even the same game that it is now. How about this, can we at least limit it to after the forward pass was introduced?... or is that to modern for you?

Since i am Bias for my Bears Yes i will jump on the bandwagon... Do i think they will go undefeated??? no but could they??? yes.. We have blown out 4 of 5 opponents including the NFC champ seahawks.. and the close game we found a way to win it.. So until we get our first loss i am on the undefeated bandwagon.. Like I told the other guy...you and I both know that Grossman throws up some prayers. That will catch up to him sooner or later...just don't be surprised when it does

Did you come back after they won a couple in a row? Well, i guess you can write off that statement then, cuz it isnt going to happen. I am surprised you returned, but you did during the losing streak. You obviously just were to busy to post.

Yeah, Culpepper took my last one to wave at the Detroit reject your team has chosen to start over him...</div>
    1) It's not "my" team. I'm not Wayne Huezinga.

    2) You relaize the irony of making a cracking about a former Lions QB now a backup elsewhere, right?</div>
why is it Ironic? I am not a Detroit fan, I simply thought that with their young talent and what I thought would be a serviceable QB they would be a much better team. Just because I was wrong about how much they would improve this year doesn't take away my right to bash your team for benching their savior for a Detroit reject....</div>
I think the irony was referring to the fact that Pittsburgh's backup is also a Detroit reject.

Forward pass is 100 years old. Green Bay won all their titles after that. Their first one being in 1929. they also won 5 Titles in the 60's with Lombardi. They might be the only team ever to win 5 championships in a decade. I'm not sure on that one altogether. They are the only team to win an NFL Title 3 times in a row. They did it twice. 29-32, 65-67. Suck it up. Green Bay has more Titles then anyone. Chicago is next and could close the gap this year.. The Pack is going through a rebuilding stage now but in time they'll work their way back up. Every team eventually does. Except the Lions.

oooh He's back and still got some fight left in em lol. We'll I woulden't consider myself Bragging about a 1-4 record I was just comparing the fact that the Steelers also have only 1 Win. So I really can't see your logic in saying the Packers are as good as they;ll get and then turn around and say that Pitt can contend for the division crown when they still have Baltimore to deal with twice and Cincy again at Cincy. Pittsburgh=Overhyped, Overrated, and Done IMO, if they turn it around good for them, but in order to do that they're gonna have to learn how to play Steeler football...IE running the ball, Big Ben is proving he was either the product of a Wonderful system, or is still not fully recovered. I personally don't believe he is any were near the league of Carson Palmer, but I still think he is solid enough as long as the running game can continue to pave the way for him, Big Ben won't win a game for ya, but he usually wont lose it either, we'll with the exception of EVERY GAME he has played this year [IMG]

The forward pass as it is known today was invented in 1933...(didnt know that but thought 100 yrs sounded wrong) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_pass

So you really are making my argument for me...I have no doubt that the Packers will eventually be competitive again, but that has absolutely nothing to do with what they did in 1929...like I said before and I will say again...the game was nothing like the one they play today. It just seems that every Packer fan in here wants to brag about what happened a million years ago...who cares dude??

I have to prove this to you guys every time you think you know my team. Ben has proven that he can beat teams if they focus on the running game...what was it 800 yards and 7 touchdowns in the playoffs last year? those sound like some pretty good numbers against some pretty good teams to me. He has not been that guy this year, but I assure you he will be back. You and I both know your team is playing as well as they can play....nothing to be ashamed of, at least you have reached your potential. Steelers love the underdog role, they thrive in it in fact...they will once again compete for the division crown I have no doubt. The Ravens are over-hyped and the Bengals are falling aparrt with the crooks they threw into that team.

Forward pass was legalized in the NFL rules by 1933. Invented long before that. There is a difference.

Even take out those 3 Titles. GB would still rank 2nd all time to Chicago but since we?re using your logic and we can?t go from before the forward pass it?s only fair to take out the Bears titles in that era and anyone?s after That still makes GB #1 all time ever with 9 Titles after 1933.

Who cares? You sure seem to care about it right now since your talking about it.

Is the game the same as now as it was in the 70's? Sure there was the Super Bowl but the modern athlete is completely different from then to now. There are some similar athletes but not many. Not enough to make a difference. So using the logic of the game changing, Pittsburgh really only has 1 Super Bowl win and another appearance. GB has 1 of each as well or is 96 and 97 to long as well? So is New England the greatest franchise ever because of the free agent era? Dallas could rank up there as well? The logic your using makes no sense. Should we take out all the players in the Hall of Fame from that era as well? Pittsburgh is clearly the better team now and I?ll admit that as there is no denying it but just because your losing doesn?t mean you should stop rooting for your team or caring about your respective teams History and present. When Pittsburgh goes through their rebuilding mode, I?m sure you?ll think back to the 70?s and last season.
