EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Edmonton Oilers won for theirsecond time in as many nights, posting a 3-2 victory over theToronto Maple Leafs in overtime on Tuesday night.

After Andrew Cogliano drove hard to the Maple Leafs' net and wasdenied by goalie Justin Pogge, Shawn Horcoff picked up therebound and found Denis Grebeshkov alone in the slot.Grebeshkov made no mistake, netting his first goal to give theOilers the win.

Edmonton beat the Florida Panthers, 5-4, on Monday beforehosting Toronto, which took the ice for the first time thispreseason.

It was a slow start to this game with players on both teamsgetting used to a quicker tempo then what they faced in trainingcamp. The Oilers eventually started the scoring late in thefirst period when rookie Viacheslav Trukhno buried a rebound atthe side of the net while on a 5-on-3 power-play.

However, the Leafs responded two minutes later with a power-playgoal. Alexei Ponikarovsky split the Oiler defense and went inall alone on goalie Mathieu Garon. Ponikarovsky went upstairson Garon, evening the game at one.

Anson Carter, who was released by Edmonton following the2002-2003 campaign before being invited back to camp thisseason, left the game after the first period with a concussion.

Although there was no scoring in the second period, it wasn'tdue to a lack of chances. Both Garon and Pogge made numeroussaves to keep the score knotted at one heading into the thirdperiod.

Both teams came out flying in the third period. Toronto's BryanMcCabe gave the Leafs the lead when he walked in on a 2-on-1and fired a shot that eluded Edmonton's goalie, Devan Dubynk.

The Oilers quickly responded when Horcoff netted his first ofthe preseason to even things up at two before Grebeshkov scoredthe game-winning goal in overtime.

The Maple Leafs will look to rebound against the Phoenix Coyotesin a neutral site game in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Oilers, onthe other hand, will take their winning ways out west to tangowith the Vancouver Canucks.
