<h3>ARIZONA 11, PHILADELPHIA 5</h3>PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Orlando Hudson had four hits and fourRBI, all coming with two outs, as the surging ArizonaDiamondbacks posted an 11-5 victory over the PhiladelphiaPhillies on Tuesday.

Hudson was 4-for-6 with a run scored for Arizona, which won itssixth straight game for its third six-game winning streak of theseason. It was Hudson's first four-hit game since August 25.

For the second straight game the Diamondbacks jumped out to anearly lead. On Monday Conor Jackson launched a two-run home runin the first inning to stake Arizona to a 2-0 lead on its wayto a 5-4 victory.

On Tuesday, Jackson was one of four Diamondbacks to come up witha two-out hit in the second as Arizona jumped all overPhiladelphia starter Jon Lieber for five runs.

Rookie Alberto Callaspo started the scoring with a sacrifice flyto right. Miguel Montero, another rookie, made it 2-0 with anRBI single before Jackson tacked on a run with a two-out doubleto right-center. Hudson capped the frame with a two-run singleto center.

Philadelphia got a run back in the bottom of the frame on an RBIsingle by Carlos Ruiz. The Phillies made it 5-3 in the seventhon a two-run single by Chase Utley but the Diamondbacks put thegame out of reach an inning later.

Arizona put up another five runs in the eighth off of relieverGeoff Geary. Hudson had a two-run single to center with twoouts and Stephen Drew capped the uprising with a bases-clearingtriple off the wall in center to make it 10-3.

Lieber allowed five runs and 13 hits, seven of them in thesecond inning, in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out five, walkednone and fell to 1-3 in five starts this month.

The Phillies battled for the better part of two months tofinally get over the .500 mark after a 3-10 start but have beenknocked back down by the surging Diamondbacks, who have won sixstraight, who have won the first two of a three-game series withthe Phillies.

Arizona starter Micah Owings (4-1) allowed a run and seven hitsin five innings. He allowed at least one hit in each inning hepitched but was able to avoid giving up the big inning. He gotout of a bases loaded jam in the third by getting Greg Dobbs topop out to Hudson and Aaron Rowand to ground out to short to endthe threat.

Dobbs homered in the eighth, his fifth of the season and thirdin as many games.

Hudson, Diamondbacks pound out victory over Phillies

"Pitchers are throwing well and we are swinging the bats,"<div class="pre">Hudson said. "That's how baseball goes, one of them up and</div>down things. So right now we are going to ride the wave whileit is going high and we are going to keep on playing goodDiamondback baseball the way we know how to play."

"I felt like he (Geary) had the one guy struck out. Then afterthat is when things fell part for him," Phils manager CharlieManuel said.

"We (just) keep swinging," Arizona manager Bob Melvin said."Tonight was basically two innings. We score the five thendon't do much and then added on another big inning. We aregetting multiple hits and scoring multiple runs and scoring inthe fashion to the extent that we are making up for some losttime."

Lieber allowed five runs and 13 hits, seven of them in thesecond inning, in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out five, walkednone and fell to 1-3 in five starts this month.

"I just tried to get out of it quick as I could," Leiber said ofthe second inning. "Things just kind of snowballed. Maybe Itried to do too much. It's probably not the last time I'll giveup five runs in an inning."

The Phillies battled for the better part of two months tofinally get over the .500 mark after a 3-10 start but have beenknocked back down by the surging Diamondbacks, who have won sixstraight, who have won the first two of a three-game series withthe Phillies.

"I'm just just as disappointed as anybody else," Philadelphiaright fielder Shane Victorino said. "That's not a question thatshould even be asked. I'm bitter. To do as well as we did inAtlanta and then to come home and start the way we did."

"It's tough," Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard added. "Rightnow, we haven't had anything go our way. They have been swingingthe bat well and just playing better ball right now. So,tomorrow we just have to come out and try to salvage it and getback on top of .500."

Howard gave Phils fans a scare when he had to leave the game inthe ninth inning.

"All it was, was a cramp," he said. "My hamstring cramped upwhen I tried to get up. I couldn't make an accurate throw."

"Definitely not how I planned it but what a team win allaround," Owings said. "I can not say enough about the bullpencoming in and doing the job they did. The run support early wasnice."

Dobbs homered in the eighth, his fifth of the season and thirdin as many games.

The Diamondbacks experienced a scary moment when rookie thirdbaseman Mark Reynolds collided with reliever Brandon Medders inthe seventh inning while trying to field a bunt single off thebat of Michael Bourn. Reynolds had to leave the game with aneck contusion, but the injury appeared much worse.

"They told me I was laying there for a few minutes but I did notremember," Reynolds said. "I did not really want to movebecause my neck hurt really bad. Once I came in and got someice on it and moved it around a little bit it felt a littlebetter.

Reynolds, who also has experienced minor injuries to his calfand shin in this series, is day-to-day.
