The Skins have a big NFC East matchup this week against the struggling Giants. This team hasn't found their groove and suffered losses to both Green Bay and Dallas. Meanwhile, the The Redskins have started off the season strong beating out the current NFC East champs on Monday Night Football earlier this week. However, I don't think anyone is completely sold on a Washington team that finished 5-11 last year but I guess we're all hoping that the additions of LaRon Landry and London Fletcher really have made us one of the best defenses in the league.

Yea the Giants will be done for the year if they lose this game. Its at Washington so i think the ZRedskins will win but don't be surprised if Eli has a big game. Maybe a miracle happens and the D only lets 28

Normally, this would be a dangerous game for the Redskins.

It's a division game agaisnt a desperate team and the Skins have played over their heads a bit.

However, the Giants defense has shown no pride or passion this season, and barely look like they care about their pathetic performance. (Even lightweight sideline reporter Pam Oliver called them out on Sunday.)

These NFC East games used to be bloodfeuds, but right now the Giants are just collecting paychecks.

Boy am I happy that Tiki Barber retired, haha. Things just keep getting worse for the Giants as week by week go by. Plaxico Burress is a gametime decision but even with him playing, Eli Manning has had a troubled time passing the ball so far. He hasn't stepped up in place of Tiki Barber and if they want to turn this season around, Eli needs to breakout today before they lose to 0-3.

Washington's secondary played it's best coverage in a long time from what I can remember. Our front 7 pressured Donovan McNabb pass after pass and that's what we need to do with Eli today. I don't think we need to worry about the Giants' rushing game today with Brandon Jacobs out and I doubt they're going to focus the offense around Derrick Ward.

This is Jason Campbell's game to breakout, set the tone for the rest of the season and put his name out for the rest of the NFL and say that the Redskins are legit. Even though the Redskins haven't had any real competition yet, a poised and amazing game from Jason Campbell could light up some eyes for the "experts" that predicted us to finish last in the NFC East. Playing at home today, his poise and accuracy should be on target and it will give the Redskins a win.

    That's not true, Asian Zero.

He's been the best thing about the Giants this season.

He's completing 62.5% of his passes, averaging 261.5 YPG, has 5 TDs and 2 INTs. His passer rating is 97.5.

The Giants have a good offensive line and a competent running game. Derrick Ward was able to break some nice runs against a good defense last week.

The defense has been the worst in the NFL so far. Unless they improve a lot, the Skins should be able to pummel them. Chris Cooley could have 200 yards in this game if things don't drastically change.

Yeah, I'll recall the first game against the Cowboys, didn't have a repeat performance against the Packers eh?

I couldn't even care less about Derrick Ward. Our front 7 have been strong in stopping the run game and putting pressure on quarterbacks. IWe haven't allowed a rushing touchdown so far and that's saying a lot comparing us from last season and Derrick Ward won't get a rushing touchdown unless it's from 5 yards or less.

As far as Chris Cooley? He's been almost dead so far this season besides a touchdown against the Eagles. Jason Campbell has not thrown Cooley's way this season as often as he did last year and that's been slowing down our drives when it comes to third downs or spreading the defense. Campbell should look towards his way more often this week, if the Giants are focused on stopping playmakers Moss and Randel El.

The Redskins need to win ths game at home against a defenseprobably one of the bottom five in the leauge.

And like I said before, it's a shame Eli Manning had to play like a top-flight QB this year, when his defense won't give him anything all year long.

Washington's defense is playing terrific being led by London Fletcher. We've forced two turnovers that have resulted in a touchdown and field goal at the end of the half. Our offense is playing well with Portis (Both towards the very end of the half) being very hard to stop in the first half. However, both Sean Taylor and Clinton Portis got hurt, the extent of the injuries is un-known but neither injury seemed bad at all. From what I saw they'll be back this game but you never know. 17-3, Washington at the half

Absolutely awful second half, Redskins couldn't get any offense flowing. Our defense, who so far this season has been terrific at stopping third down conversions, couldn't stop a third down for their life. I'm very dissapointed that we lost to a very defensively flawed Giants team at home.

You gotta question the Redskins' playcalling in the second half. They barely even through downfield and completely ignored Chris Cooley even though the Giants have shown they don't guard the TE properly. Instead they sat there throwing screen passes and running the ball into a suddenly re-invigorated pass rush (that goal line stand at the end was damn impressive). On defense they just choked on third and long again and again. If Manning hadn't made a completely boneheaded move on that interception, it would've been embarrassing.

I know our team still stinks, but if we had to win one game all season I'm glad it was one where we could give a reality check to some division rivals.

Jeez, I don't even know where to start.

Who wants to recall flashes of Mark Brunell in the second half? Because the only times Jason Campbell were only able to get passes downfield were dump offs to Betts or Portis, as Jason did not show sign of poise or accuracy. I'm mostly mad at Jason Campbell at the last play of the game. You have all 40 seconds left a the playclock to: 1. hudde up, 2. call a different play, 3. REST. Are you kidding me Jason? Why in the hell would you hurry up the offense with all 40 seconds to spare? I could understand it if there were 10 seconds left in the game, but you had ALL 40 SECONDS! Not only that, but you ran the SAME EXACT PLAY. The Giants who have been containing our rushing the entire game aren't going to hold up if you're going to run the exact same play, Jason. You cannot say you couldn't get a different play from Al Saunders' 700+ page playbook, you just can't. For those who didn't think it was Jason's fault at the end, recall back to week 13ish last year against the Panthers. On a broken headset on a 3rd and 10 play, who did everybody call the hero? Jason Campbell. Because they thought he was able to show "poise" and "confidence" throwing on a cross-in route to Chris Cooley who broke two huge tackles that could've only stopped him for 10 yards, but managed to get 66 and the game clinching TD. So people gave Campbell the credit last year in that situation, so why not give Campbell the blame in this situation? The Skins only needed 1 and a half yard, with all 40 seconds to spare.

All in all, I'm very happy we have a bye next week before the Lions. It will give us time to re-group and recover from this second half disaster.

    LOL.

Maybe Jason Campbell isn't Romo or Favre just yet.

After watching the Cowboys and Packers against other teams, maybe the Giants aren't as bad as I thought.

If the Colts can go 17 weeks without playing defense and still win the SB, I think the Giants can hang in for a playoff berth.

No one expected Chris to go for 200 yards at all. Jason Campbell's only gone his way about 4-5 times before the game against the Giants. No one still knows why, but Chris is an important part of passing game last year leading the team in receptions.
