I'm so embarrassed that Lamar Thomas ever wore a Dolphins' uniform. Actually, I hated his behavior when he was a Dolphin. He was always one of those idiot recievers that would drop most of what was thrown to him, but when he did make a catch he would jump up and do stupid stuff like making first down signals. However, his remarks during the Miami-FIU game were disgusting. He was fired and he deserved to be fired. Hopefully, this will be the last football related job that he ever has. He needs to go sell used cars or something. If you think I'm overreacting, then read this story.

I agree. I did not listen to the excuses he had w/ Dan Patrick yesterday.

Irvin defending TO earlier this season made my skin crawl; I would have needed beef's excess bags to deal w/ Lamar's "justification"

Here's the irony; There were a group of inner city youths attending this game. The theme was; Be part of a team not a gang.

I heard that. I wish this firing played up in the media even more, just to set the example that this is unacceptable behavior. I'm not sure I understand why Irvin gets brought up into this conversation this way since he came out and blasted Thomas right away, but I really don't want to go too far in actually defending Mr. Irvin [IMG]

I heard it on the Dan Patrick show yesterday.

I am surprised w/ one 'Cane blasting another? I guess they didn't grow up in the same 'hood. LOL.

I was further surprised because Irvin was honest enough to say that in college he probably would have been right out there with the rest of the team. Now that he has kids, he looks at stuff differently. I give him major credit for blasting Lamar, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I believe it 100%. I would assume his powder hobby was also while he had kids.

Bomini Jones is an idiot. How can he call Lamar Thomas' remarks "refreshing?" Then again, what can you expect from the company that forces Joe Theismann on us each week?

I wouldn't remind him of that disappointment. Back in '95 he bought a new plane just to fly him back and forth between DFW and SLC when he heard the hills up there were pure snow. Imagine his disappointment when he frozen the right half of his body the first time.

I'll bet he thought, "Man. This blows!"

He has that Joe Cool fur coat; doesn't he? Or, did he forget to borrow it from Deion? ROFL?
