Well I wasn't able to put a poll with three choices down so I made it up by writing, Who do you guys think will lead the Celtics in scoring this season?
Kevin GarnettPaul PierceRay Allen

Paul Pierce. He is the most accomplished scorer of the three and though I respect Allen's ability to slash, I think Pierce has the greatest all-around scoring ability of the three considering Garnett's tendency to be passive. With Garnett establishing position in the high post, Pierce and Allen will be on opposite sides of the perimeter, so they should both get an equal amount of possesions. Pierce strikes me as someone that will act selfish in order to win, though, and he's very efficient and he knows it so if he has a scoring opportunity, he'll go for it more than Ray, I think.
I pretty much agree with Premier, although I don't think Ray's scoring numbers will be too far behind. He's going to get a ridiculous amount of clean, open looks.
I think it's going to Ray Allen. He gonna get more open looks than Pierce on the wing. The teams will focus primarily on Pierce and Garnett the most and that will leave Ray open in the corner a butt load of times.
This will be tough...what Ray Allen mainly does is score. he's practically there mainly for shooting, and scoring. I think maybe he'll try to take the scoring load off Pierce and KG a little bit on the offensive end so they can concentrate more on defense.
but still, Peirce is the best all-around scorer on the team, so it'd be more realistic for him to lead the team.

I agree that Pierce is the better all-around scorer, but I think Ray will lead the team. The reason: I feel that Ray gets more points per shot(translation, better and more frequent 3pt shooting, and better free throw percentage, (though this may be somewhat negated by Pierce getting more free throw shots total)), and that he and Pierce will get roughly the same amount of shots.
Additionally, when judging Pierce's past scoring output and trying to overlay it on the upcoming season, you have to realize that Pierce is a big 4th quarter scorer(in terms of most points in the 4th quarter of all players in the league, as well as the biggest amount of his points for each game scored in the 4th quarter). The reason for this is that Pierce is a go to guy, and this may diminish somewhat with Ray Allen in the lineup. Also, the main impetus in my opinion for Pierce jacking up so many shots in the 4th quarter has been the Celtics being behind or in close games during that quarter, giving Pierce a reason and justification for prolific shooting. I think the number of each situation occurring this season will be greatly reduced, dropping Pierce's 4th quarter output and therefore his total output, moreso than the effect on his total output that having two top tier scorers alongside him will already have.

I think Ray will. He will be getting a load of open looks -and with his stroke....it money. Paul is a better passer than Ray, as is KG they will operate more insirde and that leaves Ray roaming around-culring off screens, spotting up and backdooring for easy buckets. For the first few months at least - then Look for teams to gaurd him more when they realise that he is carving up the scoring. after the initial honeymoon of open shots its'll get tougher. In which case Im not sure- maybe KG?
