I've seen some of Saban's press conferences and I never felt that he was pointing fingers at players, but what can he say that will make idiots, like Cris Collinsworth and Sterling Sharpe, happy? Anyone who is keeping up with the Dolphins can see that the players are making more mistakes that they can makeup. Any knowledgeable football fan knows that those mistakes reflect on the coaches as well as the players so there is plenty of blame to go around and I'm sure that Saban accepts his share. The whores of media are trying to make a story here where there isn't one.

The second article doesn't sound like Saban is pointing fingers at all, but in the first article the quotes that they have on him do make him sound slightly at fault but not so much that I would think he was doing something terribly wrong. I'm sure it is being blown way out of proportion as everything is with the media. Either way the Dolphins problems aren't any one player or coaches fault, it's everyones fault as a team unit.

Fingers should be pointed....when your QB has 4 interceptions in 3 weeks on balls tipped by the offense, fingers need to be pointed and inserted in faces....Welker, Chambers, and McMichael twice....its a freaking joke....Harrington's stats look like hes the same old chump, but 4 of his 7 interceptions were catchable passes that his recievers turned into picks....false starts, delay of games, personal fouls, unsportsmanlike conducts(Will Allens stupid freaking taunting foul, dear god)....these are all unacceptable mental bullshit mistakes....when this kind of crap happens over and over, fingers should be pointed....fingers should be pointed, pink slips should go out, heads should roll, hearts should be removed....

yea i've seen that with the Harrington interceptions most of them are freakin TIPPED by the Wrs. Thats both bad coaching and bad player mistakes. Its for those reasons that they are losing the games. Stupid way to lose with a fixable mistake like that

I dont see how professional WRs tipping passes they should catch is bad coaching....no matter what you tell guys and what drills you run, in the end, they have to catch the ball and run with it....I think the play calling has been bad coaching....they havent commited to the run even when they have had success early....lets take the GB game for instance: Its almost 90 degrees....you are playing a team from the north....you have a 235 lb battering ram of a RB....why not just keep feeding them douses of the big back until they wear down in the South Florida heat? thats a sound strategy against a team from the north....now thats bad coaching....

It only obvious why the media nimrods are doing what they are; From Day one, Saban has shut down media access and now they want payback.

Nick will not IMO give them the satisfaction of knowing what exactly is going on behind closed doors. THe media has got to know this and it makes it a vicious circle. A wise man one once said Controversy creates cash

Even I can see, the play calling and execution has been lousy all around. Part of the problem IMO is that everyone got suckered by overachieving last season. As such, they are uptight this year. I believe some players have not completely bought into Nick's system. Regardless, I can't control how/what the phins do, so, I can only sit back and hope for the best.

Yeah Joey may have had a lot of turn overs but Some of the Passes he made were just incredible, I mean Hawk had some of the best coverage I'd ever seen on some of those Tight ends and Joey would still put in a nice tight very catchable pass. The only thing is He often Stares down his receiver and I do mean OFTEN, thats were he continues to fail.

I had heard both of those things. I would think "tunnel vision" is a correctable mistake.

Paul Brown(the real PB, not a fleeting memory from previous lives) is attributed as saying, "Football is a game of mistakes, whoever makes the fewest usually wins"....thats about it in a nutshell....life is hard enough without sabotaging yourself....if players dont want blame for mistakes that are losing football games, then they dont belong in the NFL....

You have to blame your coaches to some extent for the poor WR play - if you have WR's who are making such big mistakes, then then coaches need to do something about it. Either run drills until their hands are too bruised to play, find a playmaker who will not drop the ball, or go with the run more.

The honeymoon is coming to an end for Saban - its nearly time for him to explain what he's done to improve the team.

Chris Chambers and Randy McMichael are VETERAN professional football players. They should have learned how to catch a football long before Nick Saban ever got to Miami. At some point, Saban should be able to expect that they have learned something before they got to him. Saban shouldn't have to start with teaching them how to wipe their bottoms. He can't spend too much time with catching drills because they need to get in the gameplan and actually run plays. Like Saban said the other day, now is not the time to look for other players because there aren't many available. Offseason is the time for that. Finally, you don't want to put too much of the load on Ronnie Brown because RB careers are short enough and if your not throwing the ball, how long will it take for the other coach to start stacking the line? It's time for Chambers and McMichael to step up show us that they are who we were speculating they would be if they only had a QB to throw to them because it looks to me like Joey Harrington is getting the ball to them pretty well.

Joey has made his share of mistakes but have not read where he is reacting like he did in Detroit. Could it be some of that was the Detroit media overexaggerating?

The physical mistakes i.e. Dropped passes by WR's should be relatively easy to correct. Its the mental mistakes that I find so irritating. They "may" take longer to fix but are correctable IMO.

I do not know really what is going on @ Dolphins HQ behind closed doors so I can only hope for the best.

It annoys me greatly that Chambers was complaining because his stats weren't to his liking. Catch the ball Chris & zip it in the meantime. Heaven forbid if McMichael starts complaining. He has always been the most vocal of the skill players.

Nick is installing new schemes on O & D.

He is also changing the mindset. It would seem there more malcontents like Wade Smith who are not buying into the system & unwilling to change. These indviduals need to be kicked to the curb & the sooner the better.

Will Allen has been pretty good all year....hes played atleast as good as Madison did in the system last season....hes been exceptional in run support....he had a really bad taunting penalty last week and he couldnt catch a bus if you drove it into him, but hes played pretty well....

The impression I have been getting is that both W. Allen & Goodman have doing okay. It is the safeties that have stunk particularly Tillman.
