Brooks was cleared to practice in full-squad drills this week. I see it as good news - bad news. Good news in that the RAIDERS need the additional QB on the roster. Bad news in that the added QB is going to be Brooks. I was never sold on Brooks to begin with, and I wasn't one of the people who thought it was a good pickup. There is some hope however. Shell says that Walter is the starting quarterback until Brooks can do everything that a quarterback is supposed to do.
its just more bad news. sigh. We'll see if Brooks wants to get back on the field. My guess is that he would rather have Walter taking 9 sacks per game. Brooks is near the end of his career and having him in there may be just enough to get him to retire.
Whoever is the starting QB is still going to have a crappy year. Peyton Manning would have a bad year if he had to play behind that oakland offensive line. They just flat out cant protec the QB. Walter cant get it down field if he is being hit every play. Shore up that o-line, espically the middle, and maybe the QBs can factor in.
