<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>We&rsquo;ve given up on predicting that age will slow Jason Kidd down. Last year we thought Marcus Williams would cut into Kidd&rsquo;s minutes and help New Jersey save him for the postseason. Kidd proved us wrong by playing 2,979 minutes in 80 games &ndash; his highest totals since the 2002-03 season. This year, you might be tempted to downgrade Kidd again. After all, he&rsquo;s 34 years old, has a more-than-capable backup to take some of the pressure off, and he&rsquo;s putting additional wear-and-tear on his body by playing for Team USA in the FIBA Americas Championship. Don&rsquo;t fall for it. It&rsquo;s all just a trick to make him appear human, when he&rsquo;s clearly some sort of robot designed specifically to post triple-doubles.</div> </p>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Carter quietly put together perhaps the finest all-around season of his career in 2006-07, setting new career highs in rebounds (6.0 rpg) and assists (4.8 apg) while setting new five-year highs in field goal percentage and threes made. While it can be pointed out that this was a contract year for Carter, it should also be noted that these numbers were only slight improvements on his 2005-06 campaign and slightly below the Nets&rsquo; portion of his 2004-05 season, which means that last year wasn&rsquo;t just a contract year anomaly. &ldquo;Half-Man/Half-Amazing&rdquo; has been healthy and motivated ever since he joined the Nets, having missed only three games total during his almost three years in Jersey (after missing 23 games per year during his last three in Toronto). With his running mates Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson still around, Carter&rsquo;s role and output should remain at a high level this season as well.</div> </p>

I never pick Nets on my fantasy team, I always seem to jinx Nets by putting them on my fantasy team. </p>

You mean: sucky leagues with 12-year-olds that only draft Raptors. We get it.</p>
