I am a bit pissed at whyeveryone thinks Norv is the problem. I've always been on the fence about Schottenheimer and the fact he has a bad relationship with AJ Smith. From the time where they began winning all of the sudden, I think around 2004 with Drew Brees? Schottenheimer has always been the one to blame because of the fact that they won't even touch the playoffs or lose a close game because of Martyball. Just like all teams, we always love to blame coaches because they are the ones designing the gameplan, etc. For example, Tom Coughlin is usually being blamed for troubles that Eli has or when they miss the playoffs. Or what about how Steve Mariucci was blamed for hopes that he might turn around the franchise into something he has done in his past. Whatever. What people should be looking at is a bit deeper, maybe into the GM or front office? After all, they do usually make the decisions to draft a player or sign a certain coach for the team. And let's not forget that this is the team that took a chance on Ryan Leaf. Must I remind you what he has done for the organization before he left? Alright, giggity giggity. Anyways, wasn't Marty Schottenheimer brought into the Chargers in hopes or turning around the franchise also? We all know the history of Martyball with his conservative playcalling and clock management to protect the lead, etc. Hey, that is basically the best gameplan the Chargers can hope for. Think about it, they have a future HOFer at the RB position, a star at TE, and a solid QB (Drew Brees at the time). But when they lose a game, who do they point fingers at? Who do I point the finger at? The players on defense. But all of that leads up to the people in the front office. They did make Marty their coach and the players on that defense was from the draft or free agency.

Enough of that, but what really grinds my gears is the fact that AJ Smith is an idiot. A PURE IDIOT!!! I know the Patsies beat the Bolts during the playoffs. But it wasn't all Marty's fault. It was the players fault also. They are a young team and they aren't as mature as, say, the Ravens for example. It's funny comparing them again because I keep laughing at the fact that a team that went 14-2 fires their coach while a team that went 13-3 gets an extension. But here's the thing. Marty Schottenheimer was doing his job. They can always go for it next year unlike the Ravens who has the pendulum swinging over their heads for the time where father time catches up with them. Here's another thing. They basically kept their team intact with keeping theirOG Kris Dielman and the starters are basically all there minus Keenan McCardell, but that's fine because they done well without him. They had it set besides the schedule and they even had a decent secondary. Everything was all fine and happy but then they had a team meeting or something like that. Something happened in there because Schottenheimer came out unemployed. I totally was happy because the Chargers made the next dumbest decision since Ryan Leaf.

They brought in Norv Turner, which is pretty okay IMO because of "continuity" and he is familiar with the Chargers offense. They looked pretty good during the preseason without LT and didn't see any signs of rust but when the season began, they had the feeling of the fact that they will walk into the postseason and will be "the" team to win it. Remember, they are a young team and during the Patriots game, they showed it. It seems that they still had a grudge against them and played horribly because of it. Face it, they cannot handle a loss. They have a hard time regrouping after a defeat like that and that was why their asses was handed by Favre, which I'm surprised about because I was sure they would win it. But...

To sum it up, they came into the season too confident and a bit ignorant. I am mad at those who blame Norv for what is happening. When I see or hear it, I just want to blame the GM, front office, and the players on the team and not the coach. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is my rant for the week and for weeks to come and hopefully the Chargers will learn from their lesson that the Ravens are the team to win the Super Bowl, I mean, that they should act more mature and remember that anything can happen to the NFL. I would say the same about the Saints but their situation is a lesser extent in the place I live (what a shock!).

And to add on, I don't get why everyone is panicking so early at 1-2. I think it's pretty sad because they still have 13 more games to turn it around. When they end up somewhere around 4-6, then you can panic in the AFC. I hope AJ Smith gets fired also. Not Norv, but if he does go, Schottenheimer better get a welcome back party.

It is early, true, but they might not get the advantage of playing at home when in the playoffs. And it'll hurt.

For me, making the coaching change was a mistake.

The only thing that surprises me is that people are surprised by this. I called this one way back in July.

Norv Turner is X's and O's he is no leader of men. Just listen to an interview. He says nothing. Nothing!

Marty would have beat somebody up by now, or threatened to anyway.

People are worried because LT has never had a three game stretch like this. This problem could be turned around, or it could persist. The truth is that a lot of people need to share the blame right now.

Norv Turner is a good offensive coordinator, but a terrible Head Coach. He makes players turn into pussies. Look at our team, we've got no fire in our eyes right now.

Shape, our run defense is fine, it's our secondary that is getting absolutely raped right now.

I thought the coordinators left before Marty was canned. Either way, I said from the beginning that it was a mistake for Turner to take this job. Previously, he had been with stinky teams and when he failed, he at least had an excuse. When he can't win with this talent, he's done in this league. Even the Raiders woudn't hire him now.

Rivers is not the problem, LT is not the problem but AJ Smith and the Spanos family for actually letting Marty go so late in the game when most coaches that could win and have won would have been available.

Now how many championships have Norv turner won and or could have won???? All I can say is three words none at all.

If you had The flash, Superman and Batman Norv Turner would find a way to LOSE. Again its AJ Smith and the Spanos family is who we as Charger fans should blame. They hired a head coach that knows nothing about winning and may be a great deputy but he sure as hell is no Sheriff.
