Please do what ever you have to to explain to Saban that Harrington should not step foot on Ford Field... Personally, I like the guy and I don't want to see him get injured... Hall will be back, Cody will be back and Shaun Rogers will be fresh off a 4 week suspension. Things may get a little out of control with that dreadful O-line the Phins field, that is if Harrington doesn't get run out of Detroit before the game even starts of course...

I am not going to even get into what R. Williams and Furrey are going to do to you secondary... Ouch... The matchups definately favor us...</div>
You know a month ago I would of thought you were dreaming but now I definately see your points. I watched both teams this year and I think their evenly match. I would probably give the edge to the Dolphins but no more than a touchdown win.</div>
My post above was meant to be Tongue in cheek.

Though, you raise a valid point about matchups. Peyton Manning has said Zack Thomas seems to know what audible he is calling. Figuring out Kitna s/b no problem. After all, the last time the phins played a Martz coached offense they won.

I have not given it as much thought as Porky. The game IMO will either be a 9-6 yawn fest or 45-42 shootout.

I saw harrington and that O-line vs a great pass rush. His blockers arent doing great, but he gets rid of ball so fast, there is no way lions are going to hit him, unless he just presses so hard to beat former team that he tries to throw everything down the field.
However, if jason taylor plays like he did vs bears, shitna should just take a seat and ask suckinelli to forfeit the game.

Green Bay did go into Miami and beat the Dolphins. Maybe not by a lot but they did control the game for most of the 2nd half and were the better team on the field. I'm not saying Miami won't win the game but I am saying you can't base it off the fact they beat the Bears. The Bears did spank GB at Lambeau.

So many things factor in. Such as Chicago having a down day or Miami not used to playing on Thursday and going on short rest. Harrington had a good game against Chicago but he needs consistency to be a starting QB and that's something I just don't see him having.

All I am saying is he gets rid of ball so fast now, he wont get sacked. Dolphins will win the game IMO cuz shitna cant produce, and suckinelli cant coach.

Actually, I think a short week benefits the Dolphins especially Harrington. Joey won't have a whole week to dwell on and get worked up over playing his old team. He'll be busy getting ready for the game.

I agree but it will be a hostile environment for him. Lions fans are always pretty excited on Thanksgiving. Joey coming to town only gives them another reason to get excited for this one. I think the game goes either way. I hope the Dolphins win for obvious reasons but I'm not as confident in Miami as I was. They remind me of the Packers of a year ago.

    Shitna.... Suckinelli.... So clever [IMG]

Actually, over his career Harrington has always gotten rid of the ball quick... For as bad as our line has been the past few years he hasn't been sacked that much... That said it was ALWAYS our down fall when he was here... EVERY passing play was a quick look to Roy and if he wasn't there then it was a dump off to the RB.... Last year I went to the Tampa game (in Tampa) and it was OBVIOUS what they were doing... They stacked 8 in the box against the run, jammed our young recievers (that didn't know how to beat a jam) and rolled a safety over Roy... Other than a few dump offs, the offense was non existant... I can't tell you how many times I saw Rogers on numerous occassions, running by himself down the field and the ball never got thrown to him...

As far as him not having long for him to think about it, I am sure he has been thinking about it since the schedule got announced and especially once he found out that Culpepper was going to get benched...

From what I understand, Martz doesn't allow audibles in his offense so I don't know what Thomas will have to read...

Detroit has had some trouble against 3-4 defenses though... That is an advantage to the Phins... James Hall went on IR this week so there goes some pass rush (Our D-line is pretty darn thin right now)

However, last week we got 5 starters back and it showed. The defense was able to be much more aggressive (Please let us stay aggressive and stop with this bend but don't break nonsense) and the O-line looked good with Tucker and Verba starting for the first time this year. Rogers will be back and Cody should be back to help with the D-line. Barring any further injuries it will be the most complete team Detroit has fielded all year.

Personally, I think we'll win with like a 28-24 score cause we are at home and we have the better QB.

I figured I'd wait until the Falcons played this week to evaluate whether the Lions deserve any credit for beating them the previous week. I always knew the Lions didn't deserve any love, but I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Truth is, the Lions just aren't a good football team and beating the Falcons was no great accomplishment. The Falcons are doing what they did last year, they start off solid and then have a mid-season melt down and end up missing the playoffs. They just lost two games in a row to the Lions and now the Browns, it doesn't get much lower than that.

I'm starting to think it's time to invest in a paper bag. :surrender:

Are the Cardinals on the schedule?

How odd. I know where you can get some and at a fairly good price... for the time being.

They were, how surprising that the Falcons actually defeated them. To be fair to the Falcons though, they did play the Cardinals before mid-season, so it wasn't time for their yearly melt down quite yet.
