It will be a familiar sight for Steve McNair, Samari Rolle, and Derrick Mason. But Rolle and Mason has already done this last year. It's just going to be difficult for McNair though.

Drafted in by the Titans with the 3rd overall pick in the 1995 draft from Alcorn State, McNair has been the face of the franchise. He earned the full-time starting job in 1997. Ever since then, he has led the Oilers/Titans to 4 playoffs (1999, 2000, 2002, and 2003). He has also earned 2003 co-MVP with Peyton Manning.

It will be a very heart-felt game for him because he will be facing is former team and head coach, Jeff Fisher. He knew he was going to leave the team after the 2005/06 season but no one would expect that he would leave the way he did. At first, the Titans denied him from entering the training facility and had to file a grievence with the NFLPA. And if that wasn't enough, he wasn't going to be let go so quickly as he had to wait for the final yes from the Titans/Ravens trade.

Now he may stand on the field. not as a Titan, but as a Raven. For every time his offense gets off the field, he won't be cheering for the Titans defense, but now the Ravens. For having to lead a Titans offense, the new QB will be at helm, Vince Young, who is supposed to be McNairs successor. I doubt there will be any boos at the game, but more cheers. Not that McNair isn't blamed for the way he exited the Titans organization, but the what he did with the Titans that will be remembered.

Just not to be confused with the TO's homecoming in Philly, everyone (including me) would give McNair a happy and warm welcome as soon has he gets off the plane. And his exit, would be much more appreciated than the one he got in June.

Just to be on a game note, I have a feeling this will be a harder game than we think. Sure the Ravens look good on paper especially the last two weeks, but knowing what Jeff Fisher has gone through with McNair, he may know almost all of his moves.
