Is it me or is this game coming under the radar more then normal for the border battle. Doesn't matter about records it almost seems as if Vikes-Packers is bigger then Bears-Pack but maybe I feel that way cause I live in Viking country and go to a bunch of games with a huge Viking fan. Always catch the home and home between the 2 teams.
Hard to believe but it actually looks like both teams are coming in better on the D side of the ball. Hard to believe after watching that display or lack there of of D 2 years ago. As always probably comes down to Favre being able to secure the ball and now especially since it looks like the Vikings may not be capable of scoring 7 on Offence. It will be a huge loss for whoever loses after both teams had a Sunday to forget. The last 3 years Brett has actually played quit well in the Dome so I'm calling a Pack win:23-17 as long as the rookies on the O-line can handle the crowd noise. I don't see Chester running a lot on our run D but Green will have it just as tough so hard to know what to predict

I think the Packers take this game handily. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see the Vikings being as good as they promised.

Also, I don't think it matters too much. Neither the Vikings nor the Packers are going to do much this year anyways. I'm just hoping to see some progress in the development of the team.

I think the Vikings are going to pull out the W in a close game, but really it's a toss up could go either way.

The Roller Dome is never kind to Favre. I think his lifetime record there is something like 3 - 13.

Vikings' run defense is pretty formidable. If they shut down the run and force Favre to throw it 40 times, they should win. Favre always throws more picks than TDs on the road at the Roller Dome.

I think the Vikings win and recent history says it's going to be a last second kick. Ironic it'll be Ryan Longwell making if for the Vikings this year. 2 years ago he beat them on last second kicks as a Packers. Last year it was Paul Edinger. This year it's Rayner or Longwell. I've liked Rayner as of late but the edge goes to Longwell in the clutch.

Ya Rayner seems good from long range but so far only at at the end of the first half. We still have to see him with a game on the line but so far he's a pleasant surprise

I think the Packers are going to try to do the same thing the Pats did, and come out throwing. McCarthy said he's going to try to play against the other team's weakness, or how we match up better, and after watching the Pats you have to like our chances throwing. I think it should be close, but not another game winning FG, maybe 24-20 Packers.

Kevin and Pat Williams called the Packers offensive line and coach McCarthy cowards because they run the zone blocking scheme and use the cut block. Looks like a little added spice to the game.

Sad to hear. If there are 2 Viking I'd love to have on our team it would be those big boys. I don't see us getting any yards up the middle but maybe can run off tackle.

Don't like to brag but I'm only right once a year so I had to bump this up. This quote is from the opening post on this thread, not sure why it's not highlighted

Well. Just ask (DT) Vickerson who was drafted by Saban in '05. He was "chopped" by one of Atlanta's reserve OL in a preseason game last year and is just getting back to 100%.

It is a very questionable tactic IMO. I expect such crap from the Broncos but the Pack....

I have questioned the character of the pack in the past, and will continue in the future. Just look at farve and his cheating.

Till the chop is illegal it's hard to hold it against anyone. I've frowned on it in the past but as long as it's allowed I've never been able to hate someone for it cause they're just giving themselves the best chance to win within the rules. Do I like it, no it looks dangerous but until it's outlawed I guess chop away

You also have to take into acount Blasting Receivers in the middle of the field, Blinde side hits on the QBs and other such moves if your going to talk about cuts, The scheme utilizes smaller athletic Linemen who most likely cannot handle a 350+ NT head to head, they have to use their feet and smarts to take them down.
