Wow what a win!!! I hope the country will do what Herbstreit just said and will give the Big East some respect. Rutgers has to be in the top 10 now for sure. If Schiano wasn't already a shoo-in for coach of the year, then he definitely is now.
I tuned out about halftime when Rutgers was down by 11. It was about time for CSI anyway. I keep flipping back & forth. I don't buy the excuse that Louisville was flat. They came out on fire w/ alot of emotion, but, could not maintain it. Like last week's Big East matchup, the better team won tonight. My hats off to Rutgers. Schiano has done 1 heck of a job.
If Rutgers beats WV they have a legit complaint if they don't get the BCS Title Game. Yes they weren't rank to start the year but the fact is rankings are based off of media opinion and is very biased at times. It shouldn't matter. With that said I think WV beats them. I also think Florida should be rated as the top one lost team in the country if they run the table. Same with Auburn. After that then I like Texas, and the winner of the USV vs. Cal right behind Texas. I write a weekly Heisman Trophy Watch for Fantasy Football Jungle and next week I have to put Ray Rice on the top 5 list.
that was pretty amazing, i only saw the first half before i went out but the fact that they came back was awesome i was rootin for them. Go Rutgers!

I had him 4th this past week. It's hard to move him past that because of Quinn, Smith and Johnson though. As far as best 1-loss team, I think it's Cal. Florida's struggles late in games is really starting to bug me. Chris Leak hasn't been very efficient the past couple of weeks and it's really starting to haunt Florida. I put Texas behind Cal, Florida, and even Arkansas. The Razorbacks and Golden Bears are getting no respect. Texas was out played by Nebraska and Texas Tech. They're lucky to be only a one loss team right now. I don't think Rutgers will beat West Virginia either, but I think if they do then they should get their shot at Ohio St. I don't think it's too much to say that they have one of the best defenses in the country. I couldn't believe what I was seeing in the 2nd half. They were phenomenal on defense. LB Devraun Thompson really impressed me. He was all over the field. DT Eric Foster was the most impressive to me though. He seemed to be penetrating the line on every play in the 2nd half. He was really good in pursuit too. Not bad for a 260 lbs. out of position DT.
Auburn needs to run the table and have Arkansas lose twice. I bet USC loses once maybe twice. Their upcoming schedule includes; Oregon, Cal, UCLA, & Notre Dame. I agree w/ CUBuffs about the Gators & Horns.
Rutgers won? I saw the first Q and wrote them off. Good for them. I'm sure the big heads won't want them in none of the big games. They'll find a way to weasal in ND once again
No excuses offered here. As exciting as it was to beat West Virginia last week, I did have my reservations regarding the Cardinals being able to win the National Championship. What surprised me was Rutgers shutting the Cardinals out in the 2nd half of Thursday's game. It's a tough pill to swallow and one of the reasons that I'm not a bigger college football fan. One loss and it's over. This Cardinal team has overcome a lot, including the injury to Bush, to have a dream season snatched away so quickly. I feel really bad for the kid who jumped offside and gave the Rutgers a second chance to kick the game winning field goal. He really has to feel like crap. Kentucky has always been a basketball state and I'm not complaining about that, but it's been nice having a major college football program worth following. This is the first time that people around here have been able to even talk about winning a football national championship and seven days after beating West Virginia and having those dreams become realistic, they're gone. I hope the Cards can keep their heads up and finish the season with the same heart they've started it with, but any Bowl they go to now won't have the same feeling.
