    Texas loses to Kansas State.
    Auburn loses to Georgia.
    California loses to Arizona.
Louisville lost to Rutgers on Thursday.

The BCS might get a virus from all the crazy shuffling that is going to do on.

    If I had to guess...

    1. Ohio State
    2. Michigan
    3. Florida
    4. USC
    5. Notre Dame
    6. West Virginia
    7. Arkansas
    8. Rutgers
    9. LSU
    10. Louisville
    11. Boise State
    12. Texas
    13. LSU
    14. Wisconsin
    15. Auburn

So for the Badgers to get a BCS Bowl possibly the Fiesta Bowl they need..

    USC to win out.
    Rutgers to win out.
    LSU to beat Arkansas
Arkansas to beat Florida in the SEC Title Game
    Boise State to somehow lose
    Michigan to beat Ohio State
    Louisville to slip up somewhere
Nebraska to beat Texas in the Big 12 Title Game.

hmmm a lot to ask for but with the way this season is going I refuse to count them out of a Fiesta Bowl birth. Crazy year so far... Also proving college football needs a playoff system because there is no true #2 especially after next week.

Notre Dame deserves to be number 4 but whatever the BCS is screwed up and this is probably going to be the BCS standings....

I think ND will find a way to beat SC and all they can hope for is a Florida loss.....

    In Quinn, I trust...

Haha! Refuse to count them out, but count them out none the less. They just don't have the respect of the polls although I consider the Badgers a top 10 team myself. P.J. Hill is my favorite running back in the country and I've predicted him to break the all-time rushing record held by Ron Dayne someday as long as he stays healthy and doesn't come out early.

Arkansas deserves so much more credit too! I rank them 3rd in the country right now. I am officially on the Razorbacks bandwagon!! I know they lost to USC, but I think they'd beat USC if they were to play them again.

yea this season just really proves that there needs to be a playoff system, sure they'll be people pissed off being left out of the playoff system but still its better that a #9 team gets snubbed (assuming there is an 8 team playoff) rather than a #3 team. I really hope they get something figured out it doesn't make sense to me why they dont do a playoff system. I'm not sure what is stopping them we seem to run into this problem every season.

I think it is hard to change so much tradition...It would make wins and losses count for a lot less....I mean there would be a team that lost 4 games or so and they'd still end up winning if they got hot at the right time?that just isn't right...we need to stop having the damn computers choose but i think we should shy away from a playoff bracket....

The only way you would see a 4 loss team in the playoffs in college football would be if they won a major conference. That's if they give auto bids to major conference winners. You wouldn't see a 4 loss team in the playoffs this year at all. Say you take the top 8 in the BCS rankings. Then there's no way you end up with a 4 loss team. You could take up to 16 teams and still not end up with a team with that many losses. At the most, you might have a team with 3 losses, but even that will be rare. The top 10 at the end of every regular season almost never has a team with 3 losses in it. It's full of 1 and 2 loss teams who deserve shots at the national title. It wouldn't make wins less important either. Because still 1 or 2 losses could still mean that a team doesn't get into the playoffs. There would be several two loss teams left out of a playoff scenario this season that might deserve to be in it. 2-losses is too much for a team to make it into the BCS Championship game right now as well, so really it's the same amount of losses that will eliminate a team from sure contention.

Watched the Texas- Kansas game and it was a great one. I loved the way Kansas got after them and unlike a lot of inferior teams they never took their foot of the Longhorns throat but played aggressive till the end

It's such a shame that the Badgers couldn't hold on to that Michigan game. They'd probably be in the top 5 right now if they had pulled that one out.

I'm just happy they're having such a great year and that they will make it to a significant bowl game. I doubt it will be the Fiesta bowl, but stranger things have happened.

The BCS is screwed up? Really?

The Irish don't deserve to be that high. LSU would beat the Irish. The last time Notre Dame was in this situation they got whupped by Oregon State in the Fiesta Bowl.

No. They won't. The Trojans have the defense to keep Quinn in check. The offense is starting to hit their stride and should throttle what is an average Irish D.

It appears it will be the Gators & Hogs in The SEC C'ship. Go Gators. As sluggish as UF has been, they have found ways to get it done and thats what great teams do.

Right now, it looks like Florida vs Buckeyes or Michigan for the Title. My preference being the Wolverines.

As for the Badgers, They will be the 3rd place team in the Big 10 and will probably play a decent team from the Big 12, PAC 10, or SEC.

Oregon vs Wisconsin in the Holiday Bowl would be good or Badgers/LSU in the Cotton would be a real slugfest.

Wisconsin can't play in the Holiday Bowl or the Cotton Bowl...The Holiday Bowl features Big 12 vs. Pac-10 while the Cotton Bowl features the SEC vs. Big 12

Wisconsin will be in the Capital One Bowl vs. the #2 team from the SEC. That is assuming that both Michigan and Ohio St. make it to a BCS game. If the loser of that game doesn't make it to a BCS game, which would surprise me, then the Badgers will be in the Outback Bowl against an SEC opponent.

I personally think that Arkansas is a better team than Florida at this point, but at least we get to see this debate settled on the field in the SEC Championship game. Of course, it could be a mute point if Arkansas can't get by LSU at the end of the season. At least they get the Tigers at home though.

LSU isn't a sure thing to beat the Irish. It would be a good game. Notre Dame is a top 5 team at this point. I don't know whose defense you've watched, but USC's defense is not spectacular. They don't have the ability to keep Quinn in check like Michigan did.

I actually think the last BCS Bowl will come down to Boise State, SEC runner-up, or Notre Dame. Wisconsin I think would be the 4th one in the running. Still Capital One Bowl and if they can beat the SEC for the 2nd year in a row it'll give them even more respect. Wiscosin has a vet QB, can stop the run, and can run. They can play with the best and did with Michigan who pulled away in the 4th.

If you take the BCS Top 8 then the only way a 4 loss team could get in is if they win the championship so it'd be a Big 12, SEC, or ACC school. No way would a playoff make college football worse in terms of every game counting. Especially if the BCS is still involved. Such as taking the top 8 and I could even live with the Top 4. That would make every game count just as much because your still trying to fight to get into the BCS Playoffs instead of the BCS Bowl Games. It would be very similar to now instead your more likely to crown an Undisputed National Champion and that's what most want to see. The thing holding a playoff system back is $$$ though. The BCS and these Bowl Games make more money the way it is now.

A BCS Championship game in itself bucks tradition. The BCS isn't tradition. The big bowl games had to give up their traditional conference matchups almost year in order to host the BCS games.

Pitt was in 2004 and they were a 3-loss team going into their bowl game. I'll give you Florida St. and it can be argued they shouldn't have been in a BCS game. It is still going to be a rare occurance and it's not going to happen this year. The top 8 teams in particular would almost never have 3 losses. Most teams in a top 8 scenario would actually only have 1 loss.

You have to love what you have at QB next season in Donovan. He really impressed me in their win over Iowa. I think he'll end up being better than Stocco.

On farther review Wisconsin is now ranked #9 in the BCS and could possibly move up. They have a legit shot at an at large bid.

Well they should beat Buffalo and finish 11-1. Right now their #9 in the BCS and with the extra BCS Bowl now that means 2 extra teams get an at large bid.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankingsindex

So there very much alive. If Michigan beats Ohio State that should help them a lot. USC play ND so it would help Wisconsin if USC beats ND, Cal, and UCLA

Then if you look at the SEC your going to need Arkansas to beat LSU and FSU to beat Florida and then Arkansas to beat Florida giving the Gators 3 loses and elimanating them and Arkasnas the SEC Title instead of the At Large.

Looking at the Big East if Rutgers runs the table that and beats West Virginia that would elimanate them.

ACC is a non factor as the winner will get the bid and the loser just won't.

So looking at it like this...

    Big Ten - Ohio State
    Big East - Rutgers
    ACC - Georgia Tech
    SEC - Arkansas
    Pac 10 - USC
    Big 12 - Texas

That leaves 5 at large bids and Wisconsin at #9 and there going to beat Buffalo so they will be at 11-1. The Badgers aren't in bad shape.

Looking at the at large bids.

    1. Michigan
    2. Florida
    3. Notre Dame
    4. West Virginia
    5. Wisconsin

That's the current picture unless I made a mistake somewhere....

Edit: Crap I new I was missing something. Stupid Big 12. So Texas would get the Big 12 but Wisconsin can easily pass ND, WV, or Florida in the poles considering one of those 3 are very likely to lose again if not all 3.

    GO USC!!!!
