Here is how the playoff brackett/seeds looks like as of week 11. AFC 1. Indianapolis Colts (9-0) 2. Denver Broncos (7-2) 3. Baltimore Ravens (7-2) 4. New England Patriots (6-3) 5. San Diego Chargers (7-2) 6. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-4) NFC 1. Chicago Bears (8-1) 2. New Orleans Saints (6-3) 3. Seattle Seahawks (6-3) 4. New York Giants (6-3) 5. Atlanta Falcons (5-4) 6. Philidelphia Eagles (5-4) For official page, it's on http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/playoffrace Clearly, the AFC is more clearer with the bottom 8 teams have lower than a .500 record and the wild card spots are still wide open amongst the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets. Surprisingly, the NFC is more competitive, even though the records don't show it, but four teams have a 5-4 record and are fighting for the 5th and 6th seed. It's safe to say that Indianapolis has the homefield advantage in the AFC due to their softer schedule and they might start resting some players, SHOCKING FOR FANTASY PLAYERS!!! The SNF game between San Diego and Denver is basically for the division crown. For now, the Broncos are on top of their division because of their record within the division 1.000 and San Diego is .500 (loss at Kansas City). Believe it or not, that game affects Baltimore's seed as well. If the Chargers win, the Ravens automatically take the #2 seed because they have a head-to-head win against the Chargers and San Diego will take their spot pending the New England-Green Bay game. But if they lose, they might actually drop out of the playoff picture if Kansas City Chiefs beat the Raiders. So yeah, I can care less about the NFC so I'm done with that! Any other options I'm not seeing, please post on this topic!
I really believe that Atlanta will play themselves out of the playoffs again. Also the Chargers/Broncos game isn't for the division crown yet....they still have to meet up one more time this season. That and there's still 5 weeks left after this one...
I think the NFC will be as seen except insert the Panthers instead of Falcons. If they do get in Carolina could be this years Steelers. Interesting thing in the AFC is if the home teams now would win the first weekend it would set up another Colt-Patriot matchup. I'm sure Peyton still isn't to excited for that.

The Falcons just lost back to back very winnable games & their remaining schedule gets a lot tougher. I still like the Chargers to take the west. As MKIV mentioned Baltimore holds the tie breaker on SD & Denver holds the tiebreaker on NE, but I don't know who would win the tie breaker between the Pats/SD or Pats/Balt?
Looking at the NFC playoff race, it makes me ill thinking about Green Bay's losses to the Rams and the Bills. Sickening.
i guess the NFC has been more competative but that doesnt mean the NFC has been better the AFC is clearly a better conference. Hey how bout them Jets with the 7th seed right now. Pretty nasty.

Hey how bout them Jets with the 7th seed right now. Pretty nasty.</div> That was a hell of a game by you guys. The Jets flat out beat the Pats all around in every category. I thought that was funny at the end when Mangini made Belichick shake hands like a decent human being. You could tell it almost gave Belichick an aneurism. You guys may have someone special in Mangini because you can tell he has been coaching those players well. He knew to put up as many points as possible against the Colts and to attack Brady because he knew Brady was having problems. I'm looking forward to the Bears/Jets game. It should be good even though most people think the Jets will get blown out. That said, I am obviously pretty pissed at my Pats right now because I know they can play better football than they have in the last 2 games. I still think they have a chance at the playoffs but they better take some damn Prozac or something QUICK and get their heads out of their asses. Brady looks like he wants to kill himself, pouting like a small child. Them bringing in Testaverde scares me because it gives me the feeling that something might be wrong with Brady and they don't have the confidence in Cassel to get it done. I know the Pats SAY Testaverde is there as the 3rd QB but they always keep things quiet and mysterious. The fact of the matter is that Testaverde is there to take over if Brady continues to implode.

Before the season I had (in no order) AFC: NE, Cincy, Indy, Jax, Denver, SD At this point, I would obviously dump Cincy and put in Baltimore. I had Baltimore at 10-6 losing on a tiedbreaker before the season. NFC: New York, Dallas, Philly, Chicago, Carolina, Seattle I don't know that this will really be that far off either. Unless NO falls apart, they should probably make it and replace the loser of the next Dallas-Philly game on my list.

I am a realist, and know KC probably will be in the fight of their lives for the wildcard, but I am also a fan and like every other year, until we are mathematically eliminated I feel like we can go to the Super Bowl.
