<div class="pre">LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Colorado Rockies look for a</div>franchise-record ninth straight win when they face the LosAngeles Dodgers on Wednesday.


Sparked by their winning streak, the Rockies have pulled withinone game of San Diego (86-71) in the National League wild cardrace. Philadelphia (85-72) also is a game back of San Diego.

Colorado will turn to Josh Fogg (9-9, 4.99 ERA) to help the clubkeep the heat on the Padres. The righthander has not lost inover a month, but has recorded three no-decisions over his lastfive starts.


Fogg did receive a decision against the Dodgers last Wednesdayafter allowing three runs and eight hits in five innings. He is2-5 with a 4.94 ERA lifetime against the Dodgers.


The Dodgers will counter with Derek Lowe (12-13, 3.93), whohopes to rebound from his last performance - a 9-4 setbackagainst the Rockies on Thursday - in which he surrendered sixruns and eight hits with five walks over just three innings. In12 career starts, the sinkerballer is 5-4 with a 5.35 ERAagainst Colorado.


Los Angeles has lost eight of its last nine games.
